I'd be a wallflower sitting in a corner with my plate of desserts. As outspoken and lively as I am here, I'm incredibly shy in real life. And I'd probably get chewed out by some members, or at least be glared and laughed at the whole night.

A slow dance with my best buds would be nice though. <3

Seriously, doc john tried to have a conference last year or the year before?, but then i think he got invited to meet the President on the same day. Plus i dont think people were signing up. My problem was, it was being held out in the middle of nowhere and was impossible to get to. I need a direct flight to from major airports and good ground transportation, none of this over the river and thru the woods stuff. Or a cruise, for sure!! :mexican:

It sounds like there's a lot of people who have financial problems, including me, so I couldn't even fly to go to the place. And a lot of members are from outside the US.

Thats what i meant. One ticket was barely do-able, if you could buy ahead of time, on discount. Having to arrange three more legs of a voyage made it really impossible. Im not rich either.

Yeah, I stay broke too! And truth be told, I'd probably have a panic attack before I got out of the door, and then create an international indecent before I got from point A to point B! So, I'll have to vacation vicariously through this post of "Dreams" that we have started here. Probably a safer means of transportation anyway. Lol.

I did a meet up from somewhere else a few years back. About half the time online our discussions were revolving around the theme of... the subforum I suspect you are thinking of.

When we all got together, pretty much nothing changed. Only there was a lot more visual humor, and everyone called me by my handle... which STILL happens with some of the people I met and continue to be friends with.

But um, yeah... shinanigans all around and no real issues.
It was a four day long thing, as we met and stayed with someone outside of NYC and then went to the NYC NAMI walk... it was a group that had known each other for years at that point for the most part though and the most there at one time was maybe 25ish?

ETA: I was actually already dating someone from the site because we had met face-to-face in a previous, smaller meet up... we ended up dating for several years haha.

So, what else would we require for our " imaginary " vacation? And if we had our own cruise ship, what would we name it?
