I really admire Pete Wentz [bassist for Fall Out Boy] because he's went through a lot of problems with mental illnesses while being under a microscope by paparazzi and treated like crap.. but he's kept going.

Friends who have overcome a great deal in life and have done it with a lot of grace and good humour. (This includes NicksNose!)

My parents, for in spite of everything, they were very forward-thinking and progressive in how they handled one situation in raising us---and it will forever be something that I am deeply grateful to them for doing.

My Dad, for keeping the promise he made to my Mom all those years ago, and for being, always, a class act.

My brother, who passed away because of cancer, very not-angry and not-bitter; and who is now forever, profoundly, missed.

Love the idea of this thread. Nice to think positively about something. Maybe it will help with my current mood. Let's see...

People who leave food out for stray cats or dogs, even when they themselves struggle to eat.
People who go the extra step and give a home to those strays.
People who are still respectful even though, sometimes, it seems that is a dying art.
People who hold doors for people when their hands are full (of bags or children or a walker or what have you).
People who are willing to stay up all night to make sure someone they care about is safe.
People who keep their pets through even the most difficult moments.
People who have been hurt again and again but still aren't afraid to believe in hope.

I loved all of that. I couldn't say it better. Ditto. ((hugs))

People who are kind and empathetic especially when life hasn't been kind or nice to them or the opposite those who have everything in life but are kind and empathic to others.
People around the world who live in poverty, yet persevere.
Those to stick with their convictions no matter the cost.
Those who are able to remain open minded to views other than their own.
