So I walk 4 miles a day, and part of my walk takes me on a highway that has a sidewalk for less than a 10th of a mile. When I was on this stretch of my walk Wednesday I came across two vehicles sitting in the median one with the door open, the other parked in front a la pulled over by police style. I saw someone go into the second car but not get out, I was a bit nervous to look in the direction too closely to see what was going on, but I never saw the person get out again. The second car in front was a gold Chevy Tahoe I'd seen on a walk earlier in the week as if it had been waiting for me to turn around from a dead end street. When went in it wasn't there but when I came out again it was there facing me and backed around and drove off when I started getting close. Back to the first part of the story I decided to switch up my walk to walk in the daylight on a whim, and came to the spot I'd seen the Tahoe and the other car, to find the little car still there, and the door shut. On my way back on the last leg of my walk I saw mr Tahoe again, I got close enough to read Tahoe but as soon as I got to the front window he took off. He was there just parked. This isn't normal is it? I say mr Tahoe but I don't know if this is a man or woman driving. Am I making something of nothing? I've posted before I thought someone was following me but this is just a little too weird. Always if I get close to this car and it's parked it takes off.

I'd call the non emergency number for the police and tell them a bout this.

I was was walking on a sidewalk next to a busy street.......I kept hearing honking, I was looking around at the road wondering who was honking? Someone was pointing behind me.....some crazy Kook got fed up with the traffic and decided to drive down the sidewalk and wanted me to move out of their way!! pen eyes:

That is a little strange, but there could be any number of reasons for that, ... not that I can think of any. xD Might be worth going a different route for a while, and keeping your wits about you.

EDIT: Nevermind, that's just a little too coincidental, ... maybe it's worth doing as sidestepper says. "Err on the side of caution", as I say.

I would report it, and avoid that area for a bit.

I would err on the side of caution as well. This Chevy Tahoe always being around sounds a bit fishy. You could call the police non-emergency line to report this peculiar behavior too. It can't hurt!

Hi Fleury,

Sounds like it made you nervous enough. What does your gut instinct tell you? It sounds very peculiar to me, too, and I'd report it. But then I live in an area where drug drops happen everywhere and the trafficking of drugs is very high. It could be nothing but then it could really be something bad going down each time. A call to your local police station won't cause any harm. That's a part of their job to check out suspicious situations.

For your own safety and peace of mind, maybe find another route to walk. Happy trails to you!

So much depends upon the neighborhood. Like Calm, I live in a neighborhood where the best and smartest action to take is to keep my nose in my own business. The neighborhood in which I work, however, is entirely a different story. If I saw something suspicious in that neighborhood, I'd report it.

I told my supervisor at work as a similar SUV showed up across the street. At least I have a record in case someone means me harm. I walk at night so I don't have to deal with traffic and it seems to help with my insomnia if I walk a few hours before bed. There usually isn't a soul driving or walking the usual times I walk.

Good thinking. I wouldn't recommend walking around at night, though ... bit dangerous, surely? :\

I would probably go into the police station & file a report on it & also make sure you have the license plate number to give the police along with the report.....at least there would be a record of what's going on formally.
