Wouldn't it be really evil if someone named their kid with a fairly normal first name but their middle name was something ridiculous to spell? Because you never need to know how to spell it until you're much older and then the person realizes in horror that they can't spell their own name.

Heck my middle name is Christine which is pretty mundane. Until I was 18 I never knew which spelling my mom and dad had used. Applied for my first job and had to have a copy of my birth certificate and went "Hey!! That's how they spell my middle name! Good to know."

![]() Then there is my name which is common in the UK but not the US so everyone here spells it wrong and/or mispronounces it. It is bad enough that I just ignore it and will only correct someone once or twice before just taking it as whatever they decide to call me. ![]() |
