Hi Jlove Funny things your pet does...

How about snails...they will help clean Harry's tank. Is Harry the kinda fish that eat's other fish? If you have a Petsmart store in your area or a fish pet store......try calling them up and asking. And maybe some natural real plants in his tank?

((((((((Harry))))))))))

My son has 1 fish left in his tank. I don't know what it is but it ate all the others! (Actually, 2 fish. Sucky (a pacostamas (sp?) also survived).

Amy, my little Chihuahua, lies in front of my keyboard sometimes. I call her my keyboard comfort. When I am trying to type, she pats my hands with her paws and "moans" at me. If I keep my hands still she starts tapping the keyboard!

When I was working on my dissertation, the room was very crowded with books, tables, etc., so I would sit at a computer with my back to the door. Sometimes I would forget the evening treats for me two dogs, around 7 or 8.

Around 9 or 10, I would feel eyes or energy boring through me. Both of them would be sitting behind me, in complete full sitting up tall poses, waiting for me to notice them -- and give them their treats. I really admire the way animals can get their point across without saying a word.

My dog is still a puppy and doesn't fully understand what the phrase "go outside (puppy's name)" means. So, I pick her up and she gives me a nibble kiss on the cheek! Funny things your pet does...

How many dogs does it take to change a light bulb?

1. Golden Retriever: The sun is shining, the day is young, we've got our whole lives ahead of us, and you're inside worrying about a stupid burned out bulb?

2. Border Collie: Just one. And then I'll replace any wiring that's not up to code.

3. Dachshund: You know I can't reach that stupid lamp!

4. Rottweiler: Make me.

5. Boxer: Who cares? I can still play with my squeaky toys in the dark.

6. Lab: Oh, me, me!!!!! Pleeeeeeeeeze let me change the light bulb! Can I? Can I? Huh? Huh? Huh? Can I? Pleeeeeeeeeze, please, please, please!

7. German Shepherd: I'll change it as soon as I've led these people from the dark, check to make sure I haven't missed any, and make just one more perimeter patrol to see that no one has tried to take advantage of the situation.

8. Jack Russell Terrier: I'll just pop it in while I'm bouncing off the walls and furniture. (how true)!

9. Old English Sheep Dog: Light bulb? I'm sorry, but I don't see a light bulb!

10. Cocker Spaniel: Why change it? I can still pee on the carpet in the dark.

11. Chihuahua : Yo quiero Taco Bulb. Or "We don't need no stinking light bulb."

12. Greyhound: It isn't moving. Who cares?

13. Australian Shepherd: First, I'll put all the light bulbs in a little circle...

14. Poodle: I'll just blow in the Border Collie's ear and he'll do it. By the time he finishes rewiring the house, my nails will be dry

It's cold out now. My bedroom is freezing. My doggies try to get under the covers at the same place where somebody else has already gone under. You'll hear them griping at each other because they have their own spots and try to cheat. In the night I feel down and can tell who is where betweet which layers of blankets and they help keep me warm.

It's awful when they fart under the covers.

One day my littlest dog, A bichon/shtzu was lying down beside the bed, when a large fly got in the house. He backed up close to the bed his head following that flys every move. Next he jumped up between my BF and I facing our feet. Still watching that fly Backed himself in, still on alert. Head swinging first one way and then the other. As the fly passed by he suddenly dove under the covers, and then stood guard with only his head peeking out. Thats our guard dog.

I have three cats and they are all 10 or older. They are so weird sometimes.

Oliver--always wants fresh water in a clear bowl. He waits for me to fill it, then he moves up toward it, starts digging with his front paws for about two minutes (like a dog) then drinks forever.....

Felix---doesn't like anyone else to use his potty so he patrols regularly (maybe this is his greatest joy) and when one of the other boys go inside, he attacks the litter box like crazy. Anywhere you're at in the house, all you hear is, bang, BANG, BANG!! Thump, THUMP, THUD! WhACK!!! He attacks it so bad it rocks, and I have to stop him just to let the other one out....

I could go on and on about the whacky stuff they do.

Hi Talulah Funny things your pet does...

I think Felix needs a security system for his kitty litter box!

Yep he does, I thought it was a territory thing, like he smells other cat's poop in there and got mad. So, I spent $80 on a self cleaning littler box once, was so excited because I thought he'd really like it (and the other boys wouldn't endure box-beatings).
He was so FREAKED out by it. He's such a spooky kitty! He would do his business, then leave, except stay nearby to watch. He would hear it start raking the litter and totally spin outta control! He would bolt down the hall and fly across the walls and wouldn't settle for over an hour.

He had cat panick attacks, he really did.

So he quit using it but the others would use it and Felix would be sunning himself somewhere and doing sleepy time and he'd hear the rake and flip out again! It was like a trigger. No joke. We had to get rid of that thing because it made him mad.......

Hi Talulah Funny things your pet does...

Do you have more than one kitty litter box? If so, maybe let the other cats use the self-cleaning litter box. And have Flex's box in another part of the house that the other cats don't like.

*UPDATE: This just in: one box per cat is a good thing!** thanks for the advice!

3 boxes for 3 cats and now Felix only has to worry about HIS box! And boy does he........

Still tho, no electric box----too many anxiety attacks and I don't wanna cause Felix any undue stress.
