Brrrrr!

I'm having a hard time staying warm this winter. My electric bill all by itself (without the propane bill) has been running around $300/month, and we have a small house.

Today I am huddled by a heater, with several layers of clothes on, trying to prepare my lecture for my Microeconomics class on Wednesday.

My brain is just not warming up to this topic today. Maybe it's just cold too.

What kind of weather is everyone else having?

EJ

Hi Pilatus,

It's been gray and cloudy here today, and in the 20's. It hasn't been this cold here, since we moved to the Midwest going on 10 years ago.

Brrrr - 5 F!!!!!

Hugs,

EJ

Hi Petunia and Planning to Exist,

Thanks for weighing in with your temps!

I made a chocolate cake for dessert tonight, which was comforting.

It is FREEZING here!!

Overcast, gloomy, drizzly and about 50.

I know I shouldn't whine, but this is the sunshine state!

I hope you are all keeping warm. I feel for you really

I got you all beat. It is nearly 10:30 pm and the temperature -- not the wind chill, the actual air temperature -- is a balmy -13 degrees here in northwest Wisconsin! Cold Weather on the Plains

We have snow too, and at 7 a.m. it's now -17 degrees. 4 above would be a heat wave! LOL

Candy, Sweet Sunshine and Echoes,

Thanks for sharing!!

I threw a sleeping bag on top of my down comforter.

Thankfully it is sunny here today -- at least that helps with the spirits.

The weatherman said last night that we have had 23 days of below average temperatures here. What happened to global warming?

Another couple of weeks of this, and I'm going to have to change my name to Ice Doll 2!

Group hug -- for warmth!!
