Hello Fellow Animal Lovers

Please share some of your funny and fave stories of what you pet(s) do that make you laugh/smile!

My Yorkie puppy knows when I have bought her something or if a friend has got her a gift. I don't have to say a word...etc......she gets up on her hind legs (she is 4 pounds) and looks like a curious little kid!

Ok .. I'll tell a couple. lol I have a little rat terrier that weighs about #10 named Heidi Sue

Story# 1
When my husband and I are getting ready to leave someones house like my dads or inlaws. We just tell Heidi its time to say goodbye. She'll go to everyones feet and let them shake her hand ( which she holds up for them) and when they are done saying goodbye( barely getting it out of their mouths) She is off and leaping like a dear lol. And if we dont get going right then she'll return to all of them and do this all over again lol. She is hilarious.

Story #2
When hubby and i are eating at the table , Heidi will sit there and whine or growl for some food while looking up at uslol. If we look down at her she'll look down at the floor and wont raise her head till we look away. If we do that several times she gets aggrivated and she'll walk around in a circle like a robot. Making these really jerky moves . I've never seen a dog do this lol.

Story#3
We have an electric heater in our living room to help when the wind is bad that it kinda goes thru the walls lol ( its an old house) Heidi will sit down there in front of the heater ( on her quilt I made her) and then all of a sudden.. plop... she lays down.. then a minute later.. plop goes her head on the floor. lol OK OK>. so some of these are better when you actually see them happen lol. But its stil cute! lol

The fondest thing that I've seen though and it was just adorable was waking up with her between my husband and I laying on her back with her head on a pillow and her paws flopped over . She was woofing in her dreams. Just too cute!!! I wish so bad I had a pic of that one. But well the camera wasnt near by lol

when i had lucy the ferret she would sleep in the same sleeping bag has me keeping my feet warm, but she had this habit of waking up in the middle of the day,( we both stayed awake all night, me online, her ripping my caravan to bits,) and when she woke up it was all teeth and claws running up the length of my body in a mad dash for freedom, after a few goes at that i started wearing cloths in bed because i used to sit bolt upright instictivly when awoken by her, which only trapped her inside the bag, believe me when i say there is nothing worse than a ferret trapped in a sleeping bag with you when you are naked and half asleep lol

Sky......that is too funny! My family once had a Doberman Pincher (by the way these dogs aren't scary beasts....they are the biggest babies...if treated with TLC)...anyways....Our Doberman was all curled up in a ball like big dogs do....he was sleeping on the couch.........his head was close to his back end....he farted in his sleep.........and was startled awake due to the sound and smell...and gave an expression as if to say......."Was that me?"

SweetSunshine.....I googled Rat Terriers..........they look similar to Jack Russell Terriers to me.

Several years ago I had a Bichon Frise. She was the smartest dog I had ever seen. We used to live in a house where the hallway did a big circle around the entire house, so if you were standing in the kitchen you could look through the hallway and see both ends of the long living room (probably sounds confusing ). Well we would get her worked up and she would start chasing us around the house, then she would stop halfway around the circle and wait until we came out the other end of the hallway and did a surprise attack on us. It's probably one of those moments when you had to be there to appreciate the amusement. Also, I would always play hide and seek with her and no matter where I hid or how quiet I was, she would always find me! I miss her so much!

I have been at school teaching today.

All six of my pooches met me at the door when I got home.

After teaching microeconomics for three hours, I think my brain is dead.

My dog is an English Springer Spaniel and Terrior mix. So he has the body of an English Springer Spaniel all 75 pounds of him with a terrior face whiskers and all.

He's not to spunky because he's about 12 -13 years old.

Sooo one day recently out of the blue, when I least expected it - he took a flying leap ended in my lap while I was laying ever so relaxed in my recliner. We were "in balance" for a couple of seconds - then he moved closer to the head of the recliner and backward we went...

So I was laying in the fallen recliner, begging him to get off of me cause I couldn't move - he took his good time about moving...

It was just so funny because it was so unexpected - he's been sleeping alot - never thought he could make a flying leap.

And where are the kitty stories??!!

My tabby cat Max is nicknamed Mr. Slinky because when he is done sitting beside me on the couch, instead of just hopping down he slowly slips over the edge of the seat cushion and down to the floor, as if he is liquid, has no bones. Like a slinky toy moving from one step down to the next.

He also falls over instead of sitting, then laying down; so, when he jumps up on the bed at night it is plop-plop..one plop when he lands and the next when he falls over. Maybe not hilarious but makes me smile or laugh. He has arrived!

He also begs for food and I mostly eat veggies. So he will beg for a carrot slice or, more recently, some of my corn on the cob.

After Christmas shopping all day, I came home feeling the after-effects of the hustle and noise and traffic... and laid down on the bed and put in a relaxation/meditation tape to listen to so I could unwind. Max usually stays down at the foot of the bed. When the tape was finishing, I realized he had moved to beside me, between my arm and body, and was on his back like me... as if he was meditating too! Cracked me up!

This is about my aunt's dog Ben (a Yorkshire terrier) ... she only lives a couple of doors away so I get to see him pretty regularly...

If Ben wants me to do something for him, whether it be to get him a toy, re-fill his water dish, whatever - he just stands either right in front of me or to one side and just stares at me. It's really funny, he just stares and stares with his big black eyes. He doesn't do it to anybody else, and my cousin says he's got me wrapped around his little finger lol

Also he doesn't like going walking either, but if you take him outside with the wind to his back he's constantly turning round because of the wind ruffling his coat, he can hardly walk in a straight line then

A while back when I went round to my aunt's, she opened the door to me and she had Ben in her arms... and quite unexpectedly, and he's never done it before or since, he just leapt out of her arms straight at me! It's lucky I caught him, silly dog He's just such a sweet dog

i was visiting friends and their Yorkie came downstairs and stood in front of the woman and barked. in about 2 minutes, he barked again. i asked her if he wanted to go out and she said no, it's our bedtime....

When my Yorkie was 4 months old .... she was sitting in the kitchen staring at her reflection in the glass door of the oven. She had convinced herself that it was another Yorkie staring at her! She stared it down at first...then barked...and barked.......then walked away so annoyed because the Yorkie wouldn't leave! Then she came back and did the same routine bark.........walk away......come back surprised that the "other Yorkie" was still there. She did this for about 4 minutes!

My Figaro would always be on time to wake me...but I wasn't always ready to rise. I could just tap his snout twice (like a snooze alarm) and he would go away and come back in 15 minutes to get me up.

its a repeat post, but here goes

eating habits of my corn snakes

diazepam likes to play with his food before he eats it, he bites it then slithers around the vivarium before finding someware to eat it,

where has with temazepam there is no messing about, its bite, chomp, chew, next

i do not feed them live mice, they come pre frozen from the pet store and they take 20-30 mins to defrost and reach room temp, i feed them twice a week @ 2 baby mice each per feeding, in a couple of months time i will have to start feeding them day old chicks has they will be at least 18+ inch long and approx 2 fingers thickness and the mice will not be enough, that should be fun trying to source them.

presently they are approx 14+ inches in length and the thickness of a index finger

Well my fish are named Psycho, Sucker, and Harry Potter (I wonder who named that one? My daughter)

Psycho(don't know what kind of fish it is)tries to chase Sucker(Sucker fish)and the Sucker fish if any of you know can kill many fish just by the fish getting to close it. On his body I guess you can call them spikes can poke another fish or sea critter if he gets angry enough. Well any who, Psycho loves to push Suckers buttons while he is doing his little Algae eatting feeding And it's kind of fun to watch because Psycho eggs him on and nips at his tale then they chase around a bit and Sucker goes right back to his job. I don't think they would ever hurt each other they have been this way since we have had them for over 5 years miracle huh.
Poor little Harry is sitting in a bowl by his lonesome I feel bad It's hard because you can't put any other fish with a betta because they will eat them as a snack.

Does anyone know what I can put in the bowl to make it so he is not so lonely anymore? We've had Harry for 4 years now. What a lonely fishy

The other 2 have a huge tank to play and Sucker all he really does is Suck algae and maybe a few times a day be egged by Psycho and chase.
