P.S. I am a paranormal believer, but honestly, I make sure to debunk it so I don't claim every little noise or shadow to be a spirit or something worse.

I have a lot of experiences in my house, but I would like to share two of them: one that happened last night and just now.

Last night, I was browsing through the computer around 11:40 PM when the light flickered on and off, just one time ON and OFF, not many times. Also, if the light were to die out, it would make a humming/crackling noise, but it was quiet in my room. Annoyed, I turned around and saw a peach-colored light or object zoom out of the doorway. Since it was the skin color of my brother, I yelled at my brother telling him to stop pestering me, but he was in the bathroom across the loft with my mom. I'm not sure of this, and it did rain a few days ago, but since then the weather's been Texas normal. I can't really check the wiring, but I think it's paranormal. There was another time when a lightbulb in my closet died when I was changing, but that wasn't paranormal cause the lightbulb sparked.

Just a few minutes ago, I was on my tablet when the bed suddenly violently vibrated where I sat. I sat still, but a large vehicle didn't pass our house. Then again, how can a car or truck make a bed vibrate in a neighborhood?

These aren't the only experiences I've had, FYI~ Does anyone else have any times to share?

The peach colored light may very have been an "afterimage" or retinal fatigue, which happens when we stare at a bright image ( such as a computer screen ) and then away into a dim background.

The "jumpy bed" could very well be a minor earth tremor. You're in Texas? You get several of them every day. Most aren't noticeable.

These are just guesses, so who is to say for sure? However, I am reminded of an old saying: "When you hear the thunder of approaching hooves, don't expect to see zebras."

In other words, go with the simplest, most logical explanation unless proven otherwise.

This happened to me 2 years ago. So it was 2 AM and I was studying for my math test and then I thought "screw it. I'm gonna fail anyways. Might as well go to sleep," so I went to sleep. Then I woke up at 5 AM because the lights in my room turned on. I covered my eyes with my left arm because I thought it was my mom checking up on me if I was sleeping or not. Then I got mad because the lights didn't turn off so I moved my arm and looked at my door and window (my mom really likes to look out my room's window) and nobody was there. Then I felt almost like this biting on my right arm and I thought it was my sister (I share a room with her). I waited for her to cut it out but the biting didn't stop. I looked over to my right and nobody was there and my sister was sound a sleep. I pulled my arm away and yelled "WHAT THE HELL?!" really loudly and that's when my lights turned off again. I pulled my covers over my head and I couldn't fall back asleep. My alarm rang at 6 AM and I was still awake. I asked everybody in my family if they came into my room and turned on the light and everybody said no (I still have no idea what that was). But then again I live SUPER close to a graveyard (you can see it clearly from my mom's room. It's like a 20 second walk to the graveyard max). But weird things always happen in my house. Like you would hear somebody running up the stairs when nobody is there and you can hear like spoons or something dropping in the kitchen when nobody is there either (and there would be nothing on the ground).

I can only recall one particular experience at an old house that I used to live in. I had a bunk bed with an open space underneath, where you could sit, your back against one of the ends of the lower half of the bed, kind of like a wall. I remember sitting back against the edge of it, watching tv. I tried to sit up and I felt something tugging at the back of my head. I tried to pull myself away and it bashed my head against the side of it a couple times. Other family members saw all kinds of strange things at this house, like random objects moving and things like that.

Throughout the period of my high school years, and a little before that, I can recall the horrors of what I called "paranormal".

It first began when I heard bumping and scratching in the corner of the wall at night. I was terrified. Then, I would begin seeing shadows coming out of corners of darkness. I could see what appeared to be static all around me. It was more prominent in the dark, and in the static, I could see outlines of figures just standing there. This scared me even more. It started when my parents bought their first house in Arizona, and I moved at least four times, living in four different houses. Whatever it was happening, it followed me no matter where I went. Eventually, I started hearing voices coming from the walls. When I turned on the lights, it would stop. I also could hear conversations coming from other rooms (sounded like someone was having a conversation on the television), so when I'd go and check, the tv wasn't turned on, and it would stop. If I went back to bed, I would hear it again. I began to cover either side of my ear that I wasn't laying on my pillow, with my fist from the opposite side (so I pretty much had my arm wrapped around my face, trying to drown out the noises at night, because it was scaring me). Even a few times, I've felt cold fingers touching my stomach, so I had to prevent that from happening.

When I was 15, and moved into another bought house (which had stairs), I would hear running up and down the stairs. I thought it was my cats chasing each other again, but when I would check, they'd all be asleep.

Other big things started to happen after that. I'm not going to go over that, because there's spirituality involved, and I don't want to hijack this thread and turn it into a religious dispute (which means I don't wanting people discussing about prayers, or god, that real popular book that came from Israel, and their religious figures.).

All I have to say is that I thought I was being harassed by evil spirits. It became a delusion and I was prescribed on anti psychotics for all of this.

I've learned to accept that all of this was just the effects of being lonely and isolated from people for a long time as a little girl, and none of what I've experienced is paranormal. And I will dismiss any claims of good spirits helping me, they were just fantasies created in my head to help cope with my stress. They are nothing but story book characters, and aren't real.

I've never experienced anything paranormal. I remain skeptical.

What gets me is this... The earth has had animal life for like 600 million years. People claim to experience ghosts of animals, but then why not dinosaurs? If there are ghost dogs, where are the ghost raptors? And why are there no ghost fish or hairy ghost cavemen? Maybe I'll experience something and it will change my mind, but it seems overly convenient for ghosts to be operating electronics and speaking like they do in EVPs.

I've seen electronics behave very oddly - things turn on randomly. Usually this is due to capacitance or voltage droop in the mains. My computer makes a really strange noise sometimes. I think it's due to the coil inductors in some part, but I'm not 100% sure.
Thanks for this!

Thanks for the note on retinal fatigue I think that's what happened, but I believe the light flicker was something paranormal. The way it flickered wasn't normal :/
