I don't know if anyone will be drinking, but it's funnier to see all of these games played.
Heres a good one for any event. 1. You can take a blank peice of paper. time this maybe 1 minute. Have everyone draw a Wine Glass I don't know some thing involving wedding ??? Which ever you prefer fill in the blank ![]() 2. Theres a cheap game you can find at target and it called Bachlerette party fun. It's trivia Questions. Or you can make your own and put them in a hat. Questions like: Tell us about your first kiss, What you did on your first date, What's an ideal date for you,What do you consider a romantic evening???? 3Don't say "BRIDE or WEDDING" Each guest receives a clothes pin as they arrive and it is explained to the guests only once: If you catch someone saying the word 'bride or wedding' you can take their clothes pin. At the end of the shower the quest with the most clothes pins wins a small favor or gift. 4. Clothes pins in a Milk carton or Bottled water jug. Have each person neel on a chair and do it from there. See the fun part is they are focused on the Kneeling rather getting them in the Carton or Jug. It's all about steady hands ![]() 5. Musical chairs to upiddy wild music ![]() 6. SOMETHING AWESOME for fun can get all kinds of Scrapbooking stuff/Crafts etc... and have each person make a scrapbook page for them as a gift from all her friends. 7. You do a word search puzzle like a Seek and Find with Wedding words. 8. Give them one Wedding word and have them make as many words as they can with it. 9. Oh I love this one ![]() 10. Ask the your daughter to leave the room. Have a sheet with 10-15 questions about the her eyes, hair, height, shoes, etc... that involve visual elements. The guests answer the questions on the form, after a few minutes the her walk back in the room and everyone determine how many answers they got correct. The guest with the most correct answers wins a prize. In case theres a tie then ask a last question. (you obviously need to prepare the questions ahead of time if you see her. If its a surprize shower then you can't play this game. Bummer because it's funny to see how many people are really observent and pay attention. As you can see I threw in some timed games so some here are short and some are time consuming. Ok, I'm good LOLOLOLOL. If you need more I have loads we had a Shower for my sister on July 1st she got married on July 4th. So I have lots of fresh Ideas. If this is what you were looking for then I hope you enjoy ![]() Have a blast and CONGRATS to your Daughter and soon to be husband. Jlove

How fun KD!
I had my niece's shower and we had a blast of giggles doing this: Make up teams of 2 or 3 people each. Give each team packages of sheets of whiite tissue paper and scotch tape. With that, they choose one person on the team to be the bride and create a wedding dress for her with the tissue paper. I think we had a time limit, to add pressure and giggles, but I don't remember how long, maybe 10 minutes or so? The winner looked Mah-velous, Dah-ling, in an off-the-shoulder gown, a veil, and a train! Lots of fun and great pics! |

Have some trivia questions about the bride and or groom written down on pieces of paper and ask them to guests to see how much they know about the bride and groom.

Find or buy a cute container or bottle and fill it up with candy, or safety pins, or anything having to do with the wedding or shower. Make sure you know how many pieces are in it before you seal it up. Pass the bottle around and have the guests guess how many pieces are in it. Have them write on a piece of paper with their guess. Who ever is the closest to the correct number of items wins a prize.
Before the shower, purchase several rolls of white toilet paper. At the party, divide the guests into two or more groups of 3-5 people. Each group must choose a model for their wedding dress (mothers of the bride and/or groom work wonderfully). The goal is for each group to design and fashion a "wedding dress" out of toilet paper. Accessories are allowed (earrings, bouquets, trains, headpieces, wedding ring, etc.) but they must all be fashioned out of toilet paper. Once the groups are finished, the bride must pick the winner of the contest and they all get a prize. This is a fun bridal shower activity. And brides love this contest for the wonderful photo-memories it provides. Take pictures! Tell the guests and bride to pretend the wedding is over and it is the wedding night. The motel/cruise boat/etc. that the couple is staying in loses all electricity and the bride must prepare for her wedding night in complete darkness. Next blindfold the bride and hand her a suitcase. She must put on everything in the suitcase over her clothes. Put items in it such as sunglasses, men's underwear, big bra, work gloves, or anything else that may bring a laugh. When she is done take a picture. This is hilarious! Notch each nametag with 10 tabs on the bottom. As each guest arrives, tell them the rules of the game: no one is to say the word "wedding" for the entire duration of the shower. If anyone hears another player say "wedding," they can tear a tab off the offending player's nametag. The player with the most tabs left at the end of the party wins a prize. At which point everybody shouts in unison, "1..2...3, WEDDING!!!" Trust me, it's hard! A variation of this game is called, "Don't Touch It." Pass a small hair clip to each guest as they arrive. Instruct them to put it in their hair. The rules are no one is to touch their own hair. If anyone sees another player touch their hair, they can ask for the offending player's hair clip and place it in their own hair. The player with the most clips at the end of the shower wins a prize. Perhaps refraining from touching one's own hair is even harder than refraining from saying the word "wedding" at a bridal shower. * * * * * * * * I have a variation of the Cake Game. DIFFERENT KINDS OF CAKE (answers in parenthesis) Once upon a time a young man fell in love with a beautiful young woman. She did like him, however, he was a guy who liked to __________ (LOAF) around on street corners and __________ (SPONGE) off all his friends. Always being __________ (SHORT) of cash, he frequently dined on doughnuts and __________ (COFFEE). He was very shy and with all the courage he had, he proposed to the young woman, saying, "Will you be my bride?" to which she replied, __________ (NUTS), not on your life! No one will ever see me at your __________ (WEDDING)!" This saddened the young man, but he did not sulk. In spite of her treatment, he thought her a perfect __________ (ANGEL), and each time he saw her, his heart turned _________ __________ (UPSIDE DOWN). One day, as lovers will, he sent her a __________ (POUND) of candy tied with a beautiful bow. She returned it and he thought her heart must be made of __________ (MARBLE). One day he met her on the bridge and asked her for a __________ (DATE). This time she turned __________ (WHITE) with anger and passed by. Looking down into the river, he said, "So this is the __________ (FRUIT) of my endeavors; my cup of sorrow is running over." Then he jumped into the __________ (CURRENT) and when he was found he was placed under a __________ (LAYER) of sod. (THE END OF A SAD, SAD STORY!) |

Thank you so much!!!!
I found the coolest site (when I was searching for a word scramble) that lets you download 60 wedding/bridal shower games/activities for $17! It all printed out so professionally and looked so cute from the little "advice for a happy marriage cards" to the games...which there were alot of unique ones that I'd never played. They went over great. In fact, two of them the guests asked to continue playing!!! One was the traditional "word scramble". I printed off as many as I needed for guests, then the answer sheet and we played. After that I pulled out wedding shower bingo. We used the little valentine heart candies as chips. The site allowed me to insert my own words to call for bingo, then individually generated the cards I needed for the guests. It's supposed to be played that, as the gifts are opened and that item is on a person's card, you put a chip there. However, we didn't know her gifts and had to think of 25 items, so I just called the items out like at a bingo hall. When we had a winner for a straight-line bingo, everyone wanted to keep playing all the way to a coverall! They LOVED it. It was great for all ages and they wanted to play that again too. After that we played "finding Mr. Wright". That was soooo cute. We got the gift and what happens is that I read the story of "finding Mr. Wright". In this story there are many "right's and left's". The gift is passed until I say right or left and then has to change direction. Wherever it lands at the end of the story, gets the prize. It was so cute because the same direction could be repeated three times in a row and ppl still think they need to change direction. Then, when the story said left, right, left, right quickly they started getting flustered. It was really cute and for all ages. We had to rush at the end of the games because we only had the hall for so long...lol. I have access to this site for a year to use as I need. If anyone wants to use my account as they need for a shower, just let me know! Also, I'm going to do the same with daughter's baby shower! It's really a top-notch site and a good deal. ![]() Thank you all again! KD
