Those of you who know me may remember the crafts that I have done. I have pictures of bracelets and crocet purses that I have made in my album. Well I've begun another project a Quilt! I found 25 old t-shirts from elementary school through highschool and cut them out. I went with my mom to the fabric store to purchase the supplies that I needed. I also asked the lady there what exactly I needed to do, she was really helpful. So far I have all the t-shirts on interfacing and I'm starting to do the stripping between shirts. Wish me luck! I'll be sure to post a picture when I'm done.

All of the vertical pieces have been sewn together, I have 5 completed rows. I will start sewing the horizontal strips tommorow. I will soon be nearing the batting/backing part, which I'm not sure how to go about. My mom has never quilted, yet she says the way my grandma told me to do it takes too long. So if anyone has quilting experince I'd love to hear ideas on how to do the batting/backing. Thanks!

It's just a yellow cotton fabric and I need to put batting in the middle. I still can't decide what color yarn I'm going to use to keep the batting from moving around... Possibly black? or white? or Yellow?
