I should get a t-shirt made that says - I survived my first day back at work after taking a sick leave. I was surprised to receive so many hugs at work, and find it such a positive experience. I just kept saying 'i was sick' when asked why I was away for 2 months, and no one pestered me too much. One woman said: "so glad you're smiling again - I hadn't seen you smile in a long time," so I guess it must have been somewhat obvious to some pple, but glad no one bugged me too much about it. Phew!! didn't think I'd make it through.

Thank G-d for meds -- but a bit worried, because have bruises with celexa and if they continue, there's nothing else to try (have horrible side effects with all) - PLEASE let me tolerate this one...

Sorry for venting - thanks for the support so far - it is really helpful to chat with pple who actually understand what depression is like...

(((Ouch))) That is such good news! I know how you were dreading going back to work. I'm so glad it was a positive experience. It's obvious you were missed by your co-workers.

I hope the bruises from Celexa go away. Have you been taking it long? I had some trouble adjusting to it at first, but it ended up working very well for me. I take Lexapro now which is very closely related, but requires a smaller dose and has fewer side effects (for me), so that might be an option for you if your side effects from Celexa don't get better.

I'm just so damn happy for you! Onward and upward! I should get a t-shirt made

What did you say about bruises with celexa? I'm on celexa and I had a weird bruise on my knee. Is it from the celexa?
you should reply to me in a message

Hello Ouch.
I am glad that you made it through the first day back at work. You must be VERY appreciated to get the response of sincerity and compassion from your co workers. Take care. Soidhonia

Thanks everyone... Just coming to terms with what happened - therapist says it's like Post-traumatic stress as a result of what I went through with severe depression... Glad at least one thing is going well now...
