Each day, I say to myself, "I need energy," to make it through the day and the week. For this comment to myself, i have to do my best to keep my insides clean by not eating alot of fat and greasy foods that can affect what i have to do. From experience, if you eat lots of high fats, your energy will suffer.

I too am in dire need of some energy....this fact is compounded by the fact that I'm on 2 (atypical) antipsychotics on moderate doses. I need at least 3 cups of coffee a day but still find myself tired.

Due to the meds I'm on, I need a CNS psycho-stimulant, Provigil, to keep me going!

Exercise is well worthwhile, too. Making sure you eat healthily is also worthwhile, rather than just avoiding fatty foods. (it's saturated fat you could do with avoiding, but there's no harm in getting a tiny bit a day. The polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats are the "healthy" ones) Getting proper sleep is also important.

Those of us with chronic insomnia are always foggy...increasing protein and decreasing carbs has helped me...exercise gives me a boost, even if its just temporary...stimulants like caffeine are really tempting, but then you eventually crash and isn't great for us who have anxiety issues. A good talk with someone really energizes me for some reason.
