I flew to Miami and back in January 2013 at a weight of about 386lbs. On the way down my buddy and I had an option at the gate to upgrade to first class for like $90 or something and it was awesome. Plenty of room in those seats. He isn't slim either, but not a 300 pounder.

The way back was a different story. I was in regular seating, in the middle of three seats. Two short skinny guys on either side of me. The flight attendant literally started laughing when she saw me sitting between them. It was kind of funny looking.

I just do my best to keep my arms folded and so that I'm not taking room from other passengers.

Or you could not bath and lean on the person next to you, either way.

No, not an issue for me. My issue with planes, is I have long legs. I'm more concerned with that.
And: I'm troubled when there's obnoxious, intoxicated, college age friends, like I experienced on one connecting flight...

Wouldn't bother me! I get cold on flights, so body heat around me leads to a nice in-flight nap!

Well, guys, tomorrow is my trip! I have lost 12 pounds! Hopefully that will give me an extra inch or two. Wish me luck!
