We are dressing up at work for Halloween and having a potluck lunch. There are group and individual contests; the group we have figured out and still trying to decide what to do to jazz up my indiv. costume. Should be fun. I've never seen a workplace go so gun-ho before; it is interesting and infectious.

I am having a pumpkin carving party this weekend and that am really looking forward to. Halloween night will spend watching movies. I don't get trick-or treaters anymore, miss that, but am just too far out for them to come. Would be curious to know what the more creative costumes are that y'all see this year for those that do get trick-or-treaters.

I'm probably going to be doing nothing. Maybe a party? Not sure. I have a costume from a few years ago if I do do something. Maybe watch a Halloween movie with fall scented candles.
Thanks for this!

I'll be home with my mom passing out candy to an eager 200 trick or treaters that we anticipate coming every Halloween.

Dropping the kids off, it's their father's turn, this year. Then picking them up, probably be gifted some candies and turn in for the night. Last year, was a good time. I dressed as cat woman and by the time we walked back home, looked like there'd been a big heist, with the oversized, bigger than pillow cases we carried. ..

OMG, it's finally here! Halloween is my favorite. :-) At 40, I don't often dress up anymore (sad face), but this year my boyfriend and I are going punk. That's how I dressed in high school, and I'm really looking forward to it. Yay!!!

37 replies to this thread on Halloween, and only a few on mine??

It's in the Coffeehouse forum, a sub-forum on this one. I never know where to start threads in the best place to likely get replies.

I'm sorry owl, I didn't see yours I started this in here because its a chat thread rather than a fast paced add on thread like the "what are you eating/drinking, and what's on your mind threads.

I thought this WOULD be a fast-paced topic.

I never know where to start threads, or whether to try it at all a lot of times.

Oh yea, our church does what they call trunk or treat because living on our farms, the kids don't go around from farm to farm.....way too far inbetween....so they go to the churches who have all the members go there in their vehicles & have their bowls of candy in their trunk. They also go to town & go from business to business....the kids have fun doing that

However, I just got back from town......& it's FREEZING OUT THERE....it's 39F & dropping....the rain is supposed to change from rain to snow tonight That is NOT something that happens on Halloween at least no where I have ever lived. I am sitting here typing & I can't stop my shivering......I REALLY am a party pooper because I REALLY don't want to go sit there in my truck with everyone else & get chilled & get sick.

I bought 3 huge bags of GOOD halloween candy at the beginning of the month......usually I end up eating it all & have to go buy more for halloween night....but this year, I didn't even eat one piece of the candy & it's hershey's chocolate.....I am a chocoholic when I eat candy....usually dark chocolate.

Who knows what I will actually end up doing but need to get the plans set for our little trip tomorrow so I need to at least to there to find out what their plans are.

Strangest Halloween I've had in my life when it comes to weather.....I'm sure other parts of the country experience this quite often, it's just something a bit different for this person who actually grew up in Southern Calif & then moved here 7 years ago.
