So, my roommate and I are sitting and watching tv. She has had some severe back pain and alternates between a heating pad and an ice pack for some relief.

She gets up to make us a cup of coffee and says....

"No wonder why I didn't get a lot of relief from the ice pack, it's because I still have the heating pad on and the ice pack is too warm."

Then she says, "only I could do something like this, maybe I should just go back to bed and get up on the other side to see if the rest of the day goes better. But I can't do that or I would be rolling into the wall "

Anyone out there have anything similar happen lately? Sometimes we are just so weird.

My wife lost her keys one day and after searching the house she figured that they must be locked in the car. She called the auto club who broke into the car where she searched everywhere again, yes she checked the trunk too. After searching the house again I stopped and thought to myself "this is my wife we're talking about" so I went to the most unlikely place and there were her keys - in the freezer.

At least she laughed with me.

LOL Ripose! Great story.

Back when my brother and I were quite young, we were having breakfast before school. Brother was not quite awake yet, I could tell, because when he got up from the table, he put the box of cereal in the fridge and the milk in the cupboard!

These are all great.when I am rushing around to go somewhere... I have house keys/workeys on 1large key ring with cord. I am famous for slipping it over 1hand, grab purse in same hand, grab bags with same arm/hand...then put car keys in opposite hand. I get by door-don't see the house keys under the baga, purse and am telling people where are my keys??? Then I hear jingle and realize its on other arm!!

There's a joke in my family, that we're all genetically predisposed to lose keys.

When I was a kid, we had a ritual. 30 min. before leaving to go anywhere, my Dad would yell "Where are my keys?" which was the signal for the rest of the family to start searching.

I've been known to lose hotel keys in my hotel room. And I once spent literally 2 hours searching my apartment for my keys before realizing they fallen down the back flap of my backpack.

Now I have a rule. The keys stay in the same place. I put them there as soon as I come in, and don't move them. That way they're there in the morning when I need them. Heaven help me if I forget and don't put them in there exact spot.

THAT is FUNNY. I do stuff like that all the time - so much that it irritates ME. A perfect example of how this goes with me is grocery shopping. For one thing, I always forget SOMETHING, if I don't use a list (I should use a list all the time, but get lazy about it). When I get home, I put everything away, and I must do this in some sort of fog because I will find my keys in the freezer, milk in the cabinet, and canned goods in the fridge.

So, tonight my roommate and I are sitting in the living room watching tv. A commercial comes on and she says to me, "You know what? I've been thinking."

Well, that got my attention and I said "rut roh, not again!"

Yesterday morning getting ready for work 5:30 am: I got my scrubs out and laid them on the bed; took off my pjs laid them on the bed somewhere else on the bed; took my shower; put my pjs back on with my socks and shoes, mind you; and put my scrubs in the hamper. Headed downstairs and my roommate asks, so you're not going to work today? In my dreams.

Today I wondered why the hotpad I had on my back wasn't getting warm. I'd even put a pillow behind me to help hold it against my back. Er, helps to put the pillow behind the heating pad, not between the pad and your back.

Splitimage, you must be related to my in-laws. My husband could never find his keys. I got tired of suggesting he always put them in the same place so he wouldn't have to hunt for them. One day we were at my in-laws. Something happened that hubby, sister-in-law, mother-in-law and father-in-law all had to move their cars. This lead to total pandemonium as all four of them tore the house apart looking for their keys. I sat there dumbfounded and thought "it must be genetic!"

I left a pair of sunglasses in my mom's car and the parents took it to Arkansas with them. I didn't even notice it was missing.
