Hi All,

I glanced out my back window late this afternoon, and was surprised by the sight of four deer grazing in the back pasture with our two steers, Winston and Dakota. In a moment or two another deer appeared, so we had five to watch.

They took turns going down to the pond's edge and drinking.

Winston, who is the more territorial of the two steers, walked down towards the deer at one point, but they didn't run off, just moved down the pasture slightly.

Hope you have all had a nice day.

EJ

EJ, how cool. Thank you for sharing that scene! I really enjoyed it!

When I lived 'up north', I lived near a National Park and my son and I used to go "deer hunting" at dusk... that is, we'd drive out to the park and count how many deer we could spot. It was lots of fun and sometimes scary when one would gallop across the road in front of the car! Big as a horse!

Doesn't it just make you take some deep breaths and relax??

I soooooo miss living in the country and experiencing the deer, the moose, the wild turkey that were all around me. And occasionally a bear would visit too.

Thank goodness for my memories!!

Sabau,

The sight surely did make me take a deep breath and relax.

Oh my, bears! Sabau, tell me a bear story.
