Isn't being replaced by someone close to you one of the worst feelings ever?

I have dealt with it in a rather unhealthy way by never letting anyone get close to me again,. welcome to psych central. you will find we have several forums where you can post about your concerns and receive feedback from other members. you will get a lot of support here. again, welcome

I have been both replaced friends/relationships and been replaced. Either way, it sucks. I'm sorry if you're going through it, but I have noticed that people come and go and sadly, people are always going to be replaced and such. it's scary but it's like the seasons changing...winter, spring, summer, fall.....unless you live in a really small community where people are really close...it's one of the sad things about life D: can't say it'll get better but it's something you can keep practicing in life until it doesnt hurt so much. *cyber hugs*

I think it is even worse if you are not replaced by anything/anyone, you are jest let go with go with no apparent reason. All of my friends and family want nothing to do with me anymore, so I have none. I don't even know what it feels like to be replaced by another person. I guess I am really so weird that everyone would rather just not know me.

I was replaced by a new sister. I was put into care and within 3 years, my new sister was born. I went into long term foster care and only knew I had a sister when I was 24. Yeah, that sucks.
