I have thought about making myself tough like a warrior and learn to live under such conditions. Does this interest anybody else?

If there is interest I might like to start a warrior group on PC, where we all subject ourselves to a tough, rigorous lifestyle of excercise, pain, and other training such as martial arts, meditation, and mental toughness.

Please post here if you are interested.

At the moment i don't have specific plans, but i try to do something tough every day. Today I skipped breakfast and am planning to ride my bike, but in the end it will be a lot tougher than that.

I didn't miss breakfast, but does lifting heavy pans, milk crates and bulky pans whilst recovering from a back injury, count? I think there was someone here, interested in Tough Mudder training. Hope you find fellow warriors I want to become a warrior I want to become a warrior

Not me... ... but you might contact Motown Johnny. He appears to be interested in some things of this sort. I seem to recall him posting that he wants to get beaten up... ...

It starts with you and it starts within. Takes discipline. Start learning self defense, change your diet to natural foods.

Being a warrior isnt a TV show. I have seen a lot of bikers that have seen too many episodes of Sons of Anarchy and think they are something they are not. Remember there is a resounding truth: he who lives by the sword, dies by the sword. Being a warrior is an ethos that true warriors embrace because by nature they are warriors. The same as a teacher who by nature, Teaches. Not as a job, but as a lifestyle because they know no other way.

With respect, I would say that if you have to intentionally TRY to be a warrior, maybe you're looking for something - maybe you need an outlet... Nothing wrong with learning martial arts, meditating, strengthening your mind etc, just don't get yourself hurt.
Thanks for this!

A warrior is typically a caste in a social group like a tribe. On the outside it seems romantic and manly, but it's like any other caste; stuck without the option of changing or doing something better.

In my opinion, it would be better to train in martial arts (please choose an excellent teacher, not a bully), study the arts (like the samurai), eat properly, get educated and live healthy.

I moved out onto 40 acres and lived in a parachute for about four years. It wasn't easy, but starting with nothing gives a pretty accurate prospective on things. Get a dog, a gun and and a pickup and learn how to camp. Make sure a university or community college is easy to get to.......

I applaud your enthusiasm!

Unfortunately I can't even go camping.

Only glamping will do.

I thought in a sense we are already warriors. Isn't battling for our mental & emotional well being kind of like being in a war. I try to have more victories than losses. Some days I feel like a champion warrior. Some days I feel like I am struggling to crawl out of the mud.

I'm too stormy for a warrior focus. That can get me in trouble but I do enjoy camping~ with an air mattress.

Lol. Hey, I've made it from the bed to the couch..... there's no stopping me now!
Seriously though, sounds like a good idea but I've got to get myself well first! I'm interested in hearing your ideas!

Count me out. Been there and done that. I choose my battles carefully... or more accurately, they choose me. But that is the way of the warrior. Someone else chooses the battles. I suppose that's one of the better reasons for not being a warrior. Might be wise to meditate on the warrior's life before choosing it. The Art of War - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I frequently go hiking for a few days at a time. Nature is a great healer. I have tried my hand at martial arts, but now I enjoy a daily yoga workout. Excellent for my mind, and not as frustrating as pure meditation can be, for me, anyhow. I started doing about 15 mind a day, and now do something over an hour. Give it a try. Good luck.
