Perhaps not the best principle for a discussion forum, where one is invisible unless speaking, and many feel what they have to say is not worthwhile . . . but as a general principle, okay. I especially like Thich Nhat Hanh's "Never speak when angry." If only I could follow that.

I have to watch myself because I always feel uncomfortable when a conversation falls silent. I tend to want to fill in the gaps. I will try to remember this quote. Thanks for sharing.
