Who is longest surviving person who was put in an asylum and (has been) living there for a long time?

I can't recall the name off hand, but there was a French woman who live to be 122 years young. At least she is the oldest person to have ever lived and had proper credentals to back it up, officially. Who really knows how long a human can live for?

EDIT: I googled it and the name of the oldest person on record is Jeanne Calment. Here's her page on Wikipedia, if that helps. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeanne_Calment

If i understood properly when I listened to news few days ago, somewhere in Croatia lives a person 103 or 104-yr-old in an house for elderly people .. And s/he is quite well having his or her years on mind.

And this person for sure isn't the oldest one. But it shows that person don't need to flee in remote region or having special lifestyle. Much depends on gentics.

Who knows maybe the oldest person ever is still out there
Documented though, there was a man in Chile I think. He was 120. I'd go with the Wikipedia answer above
