Life has a tendency to give us challenge after challenge. It knock us down when we least expect it. But, with all that bad comes those rare, little gems of good.

On this thread, go ahead and list two things that you love about your life, or two things you love in your life.

For me, my dog and art, are the two things I love.

What about you?

I love humans and puppies...
But not necessarily in that order.

Puppies prepared properly paint a pretty peachy picture on the palate if ya know what I mean?

A neighborhood cat I've befriended.

My best friend, even if he's thousands of miles away. We still have that connection---time and distance hasn't changed it in any way. We used to be a couple too, but I've never stayed friends with an ex-bf. Just him.

Driving and listening to music.

I don't know why. I feel most confident and "in control" when I drive. It's one of the only times of the day I feel greater than myself (if that makes sense).

Music is something I can, and will, listen to obsessively. I don't know if it's my current state of emotion or what, but I would love a day where I could just drive for hours listening to Sirius's 80's on 8 station. Random, I know, but I really cherish simple moments --- like when my parents would put that station on and we'd take a long drive to Canada to visit family. It's something you take for granted as it happens but look back in fondness when you're in a dark place.

I love that I'm more stable now and better able to take care of/and enjoy my family.
I love that I'm finally able to bond with my German Shepherd pup Kara and appreciate her.

My relationships with the world's most perfect humans: my two nieces. Those tiny geniuses are going to run the world one day.

My car mechanic, who never overcharges me in the slightest, and does whatever is necessary to keep my old beater of a car running even though he has tons of far richer customers with nicer cars more pleasant to repair that he could focus on instead.

Brilliant thread idea Yezeena! I struggle to list my blessings in full, but 2 at a time is manageable.

my adult kid who lives far away but we have long phone conversations about everything under the sun

coffee in the morning

(this list makes me realize how much depression/anxiety/PTSD can steal from a person's life because before getting into this state I could have done a list of over a hundred things I love while now 2 was a stretch)

The things that I love that keep me going are my animals, my family and breaking tradition, there is a third, being in and appreciating nature as it quiets my soul. They are all really important to me, I'm so sorry, couldn't stop at two.
