Man, I've been waiting for this one. And since my officemate has been on vacation all week and I had to do his job on top of mine, I ran out of hours at 10:30 this morning and decided to treat myself to a movie and shopping.
About ten 3-year-olds towing grandmas, 2 busloads of junior high kids and I caught the 1:00 showing .... and I'm glad I only paid for a matinee, because I was really, really disappointed. I'm going to be curious to hear what everybody else thinks once people start seeing it! Ah well -- Pirates is out NEXT Friday, and I'll be there for that one too. ![]() Candy PS: For what it's worth, the 3-year-olds were better behaved than the junior high kids. ![]() |

I just returned from viewing Shrek 3 and I laughed quite a bit. Yes, in the beginning the teenagers in the theater were boisterous and self-centered, but after other well behaved children shushed them, it was quiet enough to hear the film!
![]() It was good. There were many inuendoes that made the film safe for children and funny to adults, imo. That Disney spoofs itself is enjoyable. I think it could have been longer and that would have given them time to develop the princesses and their characters (and set them about to being nice again?). Did you catch the lounge scene where the sign advertised "fried children's fingers".. it went by fast ![]() ![]() I risked a mean thunderstorm to see this one, and hadn't been out since my return from Disney on Sunday (except for PT and T) ... and I think I'm better off for doing so. Hope you find what you like in it. Sorry you didn't like it ((((candy))) I look forward to pirates also. However, the remodeled Pirates of the Caribbean at Walt Disney World is NOT NOT worth the time. ![]()

I hate to tell you sky but Disney didn't make Shrek. I think it was someone else.

I caught the fried children's fingers, and all the rest, and most of it got a grimace, or at best an occasional chuckle. For me it was the worst of the 3, by far. Even Donkey and Puss weren't very funny.
But, could very well just be me. |

Hubby and I will probably go see Shrek 3, but I find it hard to believe a sequel to a sequel will be as good as the original. It seldom happens.

Maybe it's Pixar that Disney owns? IDK. I know one of them was begun by a disgruntled animationist at Disney, who then later sold back to Disney. dum dum dump.
