A good thing...I have been a petsitter for the past two weeks for my young neighbors (the ones with the poison ivy tree that is now dead and dying!). I fed their tropical fish and black Lab while they were away. He is now going to use his high powered pressure washer to clean all the old peeling paint off my concrete front porch! YEA! I have scraped and scraped and it looks awful...So I'll let you know how it looks after he's completed the job.

My neighbor worked really hard in the 90+ degree heat, but his machine wouldn't remove much of the paint, so I'm back to square one about what to do about the ugly porch.

I really DON'T have much energy or enthusiasm for these home improvement projects, but have done a lot of work, I guess! One of my neighbors, while looking at my newly installed kitchen dining room floor yesterday, said I was a "real eager beaver!"

When I was married for 20 years, we literally spent ALL our time renovating houses ourselves, and so I do know how to do some things, but at my age, it takes its toll on me physically! I just try to pace myself.
The porch is a real eyesore!
