Hmm.

In no particular order:

-- cashier at fast food Chinese place (because I was the only one who could speak English, LOL)

-- assorted clerical temp jobs

-- salad bar girl at Shoney's (also a nightmare job! Kudos to all the restaurant workers who put up with it!)

-- typesetter of medical books and journals (pre-desktop publishing days) and later of church bulletins (worst job of my entire life, bar none)

-- editor and ghostwriter for a group of crazy "church people"

-- editor for a medical publishing company specializing in international travel health (very cool job)

-- newspaper reporter (for weekly and daily papers)

-- research assistant for two university professors

-- stockboy for JC Penney (close second as worst job of my life, LOL)

-- freelance writer

Well, I have far more volunteer experience than paid work experience but for paid work:

- Credit greeter (person who sold credit cards) ... didn't last long at all as a job
- representative for the responsible gambling council in Ottawa at my university
- administrative paid positon at my university's chaplaincy

not a lot of experience...

(for volunteering I've done work at races/charities, telethons, senior citizen retirement residences, working at a school, working on boards as a representative for various purposes, babysitting/pet-sitting/house-sitting, volunteering at a religious insitution as an administrator, working at a hospital, working at my schools library)

... I'm almost 21, but I guess I never really have figured that having a paying job was important yet. I enjoy volunteering much more.

Thank you Out of Curiousity..... I have had a few meltdowns and have had to take leaves of absences from work b/c of anxiety and such.... but for the most part it helps keep my active brain going...

That fast food place did me in though.... That was were I started my up hill climb gaining weight. At that particular branch our then manager would allow us to eat anything we wanted for free.... It got so bad that we literally ran out of nuggest b/c I ate them alL!!! Plus we were allowed to bring product home... course I am not sure if he was suppose to allow us to do that or not.... it was bad....

Serenity...I totally understand about the food! I've put on a shameful amount of weight myself by eating the school lunches! I look forward to it each day as a break from the stress! Maybe now that school's out, I can start to be more conscientious!
