My nephew sent me a picture of a snowman that he made out of his footprint. It is adorable and a lovely keepsake.

A coworker gave me some fuzzy socks and some candy, which warmed my heart.

Santa's helper, myself, got for me a new purse, some books, and movies.

My mother bought me a miniature living Christmas tree in a pot. I forced myself to decorate it last night and took a picture to send to her. It looks really good - especially considering how unenthusiastic I was.

Not going to list them all, just a few I really liked (though I liked everything I got)

Books:
A biography on Tesla
A signed copy of Bill Nye the Science Guy's new book
(Then, with my Christmas money)
Gorillas in the Mist
3 Jane Goodall books
A Brief History in Time by Stephen Hawking

Then I got these slippers. If you've seen A Christmas Story, they look exactly like the ones Ralphie got, only they were dogs with googly eyes on them. They are so ugly but so adorable!

Then for my big present I got a little necklace with English topaz and diamonds. It was a set with earrings, but I got the earrings on my birthday four days before. I had no idea about the necklace.

^ Haha yes, Santa didn't come here either but thankfully my family got some presents for me...

Ended up being a rather Tolkien themed Christmas for me...

I got:
  • The Lord of the Rings Sketchbook by Alan Lee - it's like a coffee table book of his sketches from the illustrated version of LotR, as well as some from the films & some new ones too. They have some explanations beside them too.
  • A boxset of the music from the three LotR films. (listening to it as I type this!)
  • The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug Extended Edition BluRay
  • A calendar with pictures of the house I grew up in (my parents moved out of it a few months ago, so something to remember it by!)
  • Chocolate covered honeycombs

Santa and I went on a wonderful three week road trip in September so we agreed that Santa wouldn't get me anything else this year. Other than milk and cookies I didn't get Santa anything since I got him something really cool for his birthday which is in a few days. Can't wait to see his eyes when he opens his gift.

A new laptop, two necklaces, and a Starbucks cup to add to my collection. Plus my husband and I got Starbucks gift cards and a pair of T-shirts that say Mom and Dad in binary code. (the last was a geek gift from my daughter)

So yeah, after a few years of hard times it was a really good Christmas.

My Mom got me a pretty blouse, peaches in a cute glass jar and a voucher for a gel mani, gel pedi and back massage. My son gave me (bought by mom) lavender incense and a pretty little wooden holder for it. My husband gave me a Celine Dion video DVD and my brother-in-law gave me a bunch of bath soaps and bath bombs - all natural and vegan.

A new watch. The crystal was so scratched on the old one you could hardly read the time. This one even shows what day it is

Chocolate covered cherries and cash.
With cash, it looks like Santa brought some clothes. Will look like Santa is bringing me a new desk, a bottle of perfume and some new books.
