I thought it might be nice to share positive stories pertaining to our mental health specifically.

I posted elsewhere thanks for the local mental health services that sent a counsellor to my home on a Sunday.

And last night I finally slept a decent sleep.

not a mental health specialist per se, but she helped me massively.
after an attempted suicide I ended up in hospital from suffering a seizure, the nurse who treated me said the nicest things anyone has ever said to me which I still remember but will keep to myself!
She was around my age, mid-20's and my biggest regret was not asking her out. I know she would have said yes but I was just too nervous.

But I think of what she said every time I feel down and it helps a lot, which I'm hugely grateful for because I feel down often!
Thanks for this!

The wonderful therapy group I came to be in after moving 2100 miles from where I lived all my life. Not only helped me knock down walls, got me into the DBT group & when a crook installed a bad heat pump in my house..this mental health group had a special fund for emergencies like that because of the cold weather here. They paid for the new outside unit that I desperately needed.

Also my church family has done more for my mental health wellness. Being surrounded by people who truly live God's love daily in life makes such a difference from what I experienced all my life around dysfunctional people

I'm eternally grateful to all the mental health professionals who work at the Veterans Administration (VA).
