My job requires me to drag my carcass out of bed at 5:30 in the AM. I am NOT and have never been a morning person.

If you are not a morning person please join me in posting your dislike for early hours.

Not a morning person either. I can make myself get up, but I don't like it. I've worked nights too, and it's better than early mornings, but I loved 2nd shift, I had the best of both worlds.

I'm not a morning person, either. That being said, I do adapt, though. Eventually. Takes a couple weeks. At least... I BETTER adapt... 8am classes this year. Which doesn't sound so bad until you realize that I'm used to 11am classes...

It's the strangest thing. The sun coming UP makes me tired. The hours between 5-9 A.M. are the very worst hours of the day for me, cognitively, motivation wise, and I cannot tell you how many times I have turned off my alarm clock without ever remembering it.

Why can't people get up at a decent hour? Say...9 AM wake up sounds perfect. 10 is better, but I will make a deal.

Never, never, ever have I been a morning person. I don't start waking up till 3pm...no matter what time I dragged my sorry *** out of bed. I've often wondered if I moved half way around the world, to say, Australia if I'd become a morning person? Perhaps I was just born in the wrong place? The stork left me at the wrong time zone. yeah that's it blame the stork!

That's an idea
I don't think I disliked mornings so much until I began having problems with insomnia. When you've tried all night to fall asleep it's incredibly dispiriting to see the sky lighten and know its over and you've failed again and now you have an entire day to face before you get another chance.

I'm not sure there is anything more disheartening than seeing the sky turn to pink after being awake all night. I end up thinking something like "It can't be morning! I haven't be to sleep yet!"

Shezbut, I have actually said I may rise, but I refuse to shine. There oughta be a law against people being bright and perky first thing in the morning. My Mom was a morning person. She would dance around the house singing in the morning. As much as I love her I wanted to choke the life out of her in the morning.

I can't stand bright perky people anytime of the day. If they're a triple threat with Polly Anna syndrom thrown in I become positively Ill. . They always make me a bit suspicious, those perky Polly Anna's.
