Im going as "hipster" Elsa! I found a flowy prom dress on clearance at Ross in the same color as her "Ice Queen" dress...the tealish turqoise color. At first I was going to do sugar skull makeup, but once i tried on the dress and wig with my square hipster glasses I knew that was the direction I wanted to go. So for my outfit im wearing a black bow with the glasses, fake tattoo sleeve of fairies (just one as my other arm has a tattoo and my boss said i can show my tattoos...the dress allows bear shoulders and you can see my other tattoo.) The dress has a big strap over the shoulder and it shows skin over my chest/shoulder on the front where im placing a big fake tattoo...then add more fake tattoos in different places. Then i got a blue and black "striped" hair extension. Im soooo excited for Halloween and i did this last minute!

Pix soon!

What are you dressing up as this Halloween?
Thanks for this!

That is great! I love a costume with a smart concept behind it! Also one that you can incorporate your glasses in!!

Your last pics were so cute, they inspired me to get my hair cut - i didnt like what she did so i actually went back and asked for a recut. And she did it! An asymmetrical bang and an undercut over one half clippers setting on the sides and back. I just ruffle the top!
Thanks for this!

My mom did a quick-fix "hem" so that I don't trip on the dress at work...and with it pinned back it looks so cool!
Thanks for this!

What exactly is a "hipster"? I never quite understood. Is it a style of dress or is it a term for people who behave in a certain manner?

I'm going to be a 50's teenager.

I've picked up a terrific lime green A-line skirt, with a white poodle on it & silver leash. I also bought a pretty snug white button-down sweater, roll socks, white Keds shoes & cheetah-print 50's glasses. I'll wear my hair in a ponytail.

I need to get a picture taken Friday.

It's really hard to describe. So here's a video explaining what a hipster is:

I am making manes for my cats. They are going to be tigers. My kids are to old to dress up. I might put on my witches costume but it depends on how I am feeling at the time.

I do like your costume and I can wait to see the pictures

I have been depressed and have very low energy this year. I finally managed to carve my small Jack O'Lantern and will be watching horror movies on Turner Classic Movies on Cable.
Thanks for this!

Glad to hear that you had a good time, Literarylark. I completely understand not wanting to post pictures with other people.
