what are your favorite products?

Are you a minimalist or do you have enough make up to last for three lifetimes?

Are you a trend follower or just do your own thing?

Matte or shimmery?

Drugs store or high end brands?

I buy cheap make up... but I have a lot of it. With my rate of use probably not enough for lifetime, but if there is some sort of world crisis that lasts up to a decade, I could probably do. Hopefully.

I like bold colors, my thing is purple eyeshadow... since it brings the green-ness (yes that IS a word, I made it a word) of my eyes. And of course, my yellow and blue eyeshadow look, since... well, it's my political make up and I am "known" for it

I am not so much into contouring, too much work (though I sometimes do it). I cannot do without my concelear to make it appear I actually slept well last night

My lastest discovery and obsession is that weird green lipstick that turns into pinkish shade and lasts for quite a long time.

I carry quite a huge make up bag even when backpacking. Make up is my form of zen. Plus, I feel I look naturally bit bland and I suffer "resting sad face", so I kinda like to bring out my personality through pretty colors.

And I love glitter. World without glitter.... I don't want to live in.

Warning for all men who say they like women without makeup: I am not wearing it for you. I am wearing it for myself. Heterosexual women and children sometimes compliment me on my looks, though.

I like makeup, I would like to get better at it but I haven't been wearing it lately. I have been having a problem where it irritates me and causes my eyes to water and itch constantly when I have it on, my mom said there are some metal particles in certain types of makeup and that may be the culprit. I'll have to shop around for more natural stuff

I have an almost translucent complexion, so I'm big on a good foundation and powder. I rely on matte lipstick that is a color that looks genuinely natural on me, whether closer to a nude or a darker variety. Mac makes some great ones, like these named "Naturally Transformed" and "Persistence", respectively. I suppose I like to trick people: "I woke up like this!"
Let's talk about make up :)Let's talk about make up :)
I like to use a soft but nearly-black eyeliner as well, and sometimes eyeshadows, in nice dark greens or blues which offset my dark eyes and hair nicely. But that's pretty much it.. I don't use concealer, just use more foundation and powder under my eyes or other spots that are especially translucent, because I think it ends up looking more natural without involving the additional texture of a concealer. Most people don't think I wear makeup at all, except when I've put on colorful eyeshadow. (Success!)

I mostly just do it so that people don't ask me if I'm sick or what's wrong with me, which the translucence of my skin tends to cause them to do. But having an artistic eye, I do end up enjoying the process and getting it right. I have kind of a huge collection of eyeshadow, and can get fairly creative with them for the right event, along the lines of:

1) I don't spend very much on make-up, though I do own a variety of colors. I prefer dark lipsticks, my favorite shades being a dark red, black, or navy blue. Contrariwise, I prefer light or vibrant shades of eye-shadow so that it stands out beneath my eye-liner. (I wear quite a bit of eyeliner.) I prefer reds and vivid pinks, as they bring out the "greenness", as you say, in my eyes. I've found blues make them stand out as well. It is as if the green of my eyes and the blue of the shadow are fighting for dominance.

2) I'm only vaguely aware of today's beauty-trends, and they don't make much sense to me, so I suppose it is safe to assume I don't follow them. I don't much like contouring, as it makes the face appear quite haggard.

3) I prefer shimmery to matte. Matte appears very dull, in my opinion. A dewy complexion seems much healthier.

4) I refuse to pay a large sum of money for anything I could find cheaper. The most expensive item I own is a BB cream for thirteen dollars, and that lasts me quite a while.

When I am feeling a bit lazy, I will moisturize, comb on a bit of mascara, and if I can be bothered, put on a red lipstick.
When I am feeling a bit artsy, I will wear absolutely any color I want anywhere, a thick winged-liner, and draw a cute symbol upon my cheek. I usually draw a heart, rose, or lambda. I do love doodling spiders and bats as well.

Super cute! And might I add your eyes are absolutely beautiful.
It reminds me of the lipstick I wore for Memorial Day. I'm not very patriotic, I simply wanted an excuse to draw something new.
Did you do your eyes for Independence Day?

Oh finally, there is thread about make up, thank you Venusss. I don’t know why I love make up so much, maybe because I love playing with the colors and doing some trick do my flat face.

What are your favorite products?
Nothing in particular, I just buy what I want (and can afford) at the moment. But I am really into eyebrow ‘s.

Are you a minimalist or do you have enough make up to last for three lifetimes?
I have make up to last for three lifetimes. Yes, I know it is bad maybe, but buying make up makes me happy. Sometimes I just want a sheer make up that looks natural but in the other time I want some bold make up with contouring and high lighting.

Are you a trend follower or just do your own thing?
I do my own thing, my face is kinda weird, I can’t do most of the trend’s

Matte or shimmery?
Both! Depending on my mood.

Drugs store or high end brands?
I prefer to say high end because they have a good quality, it is just different from the drug store’s for some products. But they cost a fortune so I really have to think about what I really need, and re-think, and re-think again. If there’s a dupe one why buying the expensive one? So it’s drug store for me in the end

I simply love the "no make-up" look so I only have lipsticks, bb creams, powder and eye brow definer.

HUGE Urban Decay fan!!!
Bare Minerals for the "flawless" look but thinking about trying the "IT" line of makeup for a change
LOVE love love experimenting with all shades of eyeshadow and have a huge assortment!
Glitter goes without saying-the more glitter the better!!!! In fact its mandatory!!
ULTA is our store of choice
As for lips have just recently discovered a line from IT called Je Ne sai Quois which goes on clear but then adjusts to your own unique color and is a lipstain to boot very cool!

what are your favorite products?
i have a big love for the urban decay naked palettes, and recently started to 'branch out' to different colours rather than the normal pale shades. im embracing a grungy look at the moment so ive been using some inglot eyeshadows for that, and maybelline's liquid liner - because its just necessary.

Are you a minimalist or do you have enough make up to last for three lifetimes?
perhaps four lifetimes...hehe

Are you a trend follower or just do your own thing?
when i was younger i was a trend follower because i thought it would help me to feel like i could fit in but now i just do what i want. I like watching youtube tutorials for sure to get some inspiration though.

Matte or shimmery?
Matte foundation, and shimmery eyeshadow for going out and matte for when im too lazy to experiment.

Drugs store or high end brands?
drug store for sure!

That is pretty cool.

I wear my yellow and blue eyes for the pro-Ukrainian rallys I attend. People seem to like it.

I wish I could wear glitter on daily basis, but I feel that for my job (in education) I am pushing it with the colorful eyeshadows. And nails. But kids say they like my look. I just hope they don't go home "Mom, when I grow up I want to own lots of eyeshadows and nailpolishes like our teacher."

I'm like a boy. Makeup is a major mystery to me. I'd be better off fixing electronics or tinkering with my car than making myself up in the morning.

Sent from my iPad Mini 3 using Tapatalk. Let's talk about make up :)

I looked up Urban Decay in the past, but it's so expensive here. I think it's even more pricey than in the USA.... and the wages here are few times lesser.

So for me it's Asian markets. Sure the products have funny labels sometimes such as "she is for beautiful and charming girls who is gorgeous and fancy" or "nailpolish does not hurt the armor" (but then again, I always adored surrealism), but the colors are nice, pigmented, there is good selection and i never had any problems with it, neither had any people I knew who use it.

for some reason the Vietnamese stores have this stuff:

Let's talk about make up :)

and simmilar in their stores. Like randomly near the check out. So I go buy noodles or rice and end up buying some minipallete or lipstick that looks green but turns vibrant pink and stays on for long time (i like it) or mascara with two step brush....

My favorite products?

I usually won't leave the house without BB cream because of my skin imperfections. I have so many food sensitivities that my skin oftentimes goes crazy! Waterproof mascara is a must. I can't tell you how many tubes have gone straight into the trash after one use. Wasteful, yes, but I don't understand how anyone can wear the non-waterproof stuff.

Minimalist?

Yes, in how I wear makeup, but my closet says otherwise! I have tons of makeup. I go for a more natural look as I feel that with my light complexion and hair it's too easy to go overboard.

Trend follower?

Nope, not in the least! I do my own thing in terms of looks, but I do like to try new products.

Matte or shimmery?

Matte products make me look old and tired. All of my eye shadows are shimmery.

Drug store or high end?

Both. My BB creams are all drugstore brands. My mascaras are high end. My eye shadows are all MAC......those things stay put through the WORST PTSD episodes! Yep, worth every dime. Lip glosses are both drugstore and high end.

I'm a skincare junkie! I'm addicted to masks because they make my skin look so much better. People talk about skincare routines but mine is all over the place. I have so many products that I'm always skipping around. And, I sort of have to because my skin goes from sensitive to acne prone to dry to oily. No one anything ever does it all!

Ooh a make up thread!
Well, I'm not really adventurous, and don't wear it often enough to justify really experimental wild trends, but I'm pretty pale, so like another person said, look tired or sick unless I'm wearing a little. I usually go for the basics, bb creme, mascara, liner, and a little lip stain. On special occasions i just add eye-shadow or some glitter, and my fave matte red lippie. I really want to try contouring though tbh. It's been years since I splurged on a nice foundation, clinique alabaster was basically as essential as oxygen when I could afford it. Lol
Admittedly there are some super pretty shadow designs that I've seen that I'd love to do, but I don't go anywhere that would warrant so much extravagance so I just don't bother.

I don't wear make up very often. I buy the cheap brands because of that. But I find I prefer matter eyeshadow but the cheap eyeshadow is always shimmery or has some sparkle to it. I like using a gold or bronze color for eyeliner with green eyeliner on the bottom rim to show off the green in my eyes. I have a good complexion and prefer to take care of my skin rather than covering it with foundation. I've been experimenting with lipstick and lip gloss but it never stays on. Blush I only use once in a while if I'm wearing a full face of make up. Very very rarely will I use an eyebrow pencil. I just think that's weird. The most expensive product I have is Mary Kay because I won a Mary Kay gift basket at a silent auction. I have a little Cover Girl and Revlon. Mainly NYC, though. I prefer spending money on skin care because of my ichthyosis vulgaris and been splurging on Freeman products.
I've been more into nail polish and nail art. I don't have any tools other than the brush the polish comes with and I can do Archie characters, Hello Kitty, animals, French, etc. I have a big bin full of nail polish. Mostly cheap NYC or Sally Hanson, but I have a few more expensive ones. But still under $10. I don't like to spending more than that on cosmetics.

I wear a little foundation to even my skin out (tend to be blotchy at times) and a little lip color. Mascara irritates my eyes and so, if I'm feeling fancy, I might use a touch of liner on my eyes.

I'm kind of a minimalist, but set in my ways for brands. Can't say that I don't own some Sephora loose eye powders. I prefer NYC for liner. Loreal for lipstick, Silverstone remains my color of choice. Rimmel for concealer since no matter age, blemishes continue to exist, plus they've a black mascara that I swear by. Bi-facil for remover is worth the extra. That's about it. Eyeshadow is only for occasions with me. Some days I'm natural and without makeup.

I don't wear makeup often when I do it's Clinique. It's the only thing that doesn't make me want to scratch my face off. I go for the natural look though I wouldn't mind something dramatic once in a while.
