This coming Wednesday is the second State of Origin.

Now, I am from New South Wales, and I'm a diehard Blues supporter, but I have to say, the Maroons just look to strong for this one. Sure, NSW have a much more powerful forward pack, but Queensland always match us even though their pack might be considered less talented on paper.

Throw in what is basically the Australian backline and the two best players in the world in Darren Lockyer and Johnathon Thurston, and the task seems to daunting.

Your opinions?

My predictions:

Queensland by 16
Man of the Match: Darren Lockyer
First tryscorer: Justin Hodges

Make your predictions as well!

No-one interested in the State Of Origin?

It's sport at its very best. Any of you know about Rugby League? It's one of the toughest, most physical sports there is.

State Of Origin is played between footy players from New South Wales against players from Queensland, both of which are states of Australia. It's the pinnacle of Rugby League, only Australians are eligible and it's taken more seriously than playing for your own country, mostly because Australia is so much better than everyone else.

I know that sounded arrogant, but it's sadly true, mostly because Rugby League is only popular in countries like England, New Zealand, France, Lebanon, Fiji, Papua New Guinea and various other smaller countries. They even have a small professional competition in the USA.

The point is, Game II is on Wednesday and the Blues (NSW) need to win to the series alive.

Sorry for the ramble.

GO THE BLUES!

P.S Someone ANSWER!

The Blues have had an ordinary lead up to tomorrow night's game.

All that rubbish in the media about lack of aggression, players being threatened with the sack, lack of passion for playing for NSW, Graeme Murray's substitution stuff-ups in the last four games, poor NSW tactics in the past four games, etc., etc., the list goes on and on.

All of this could amount to absolutely nothing come game-time. What's most important is how NSW handle Thurston and how the NSW forwards go.

If we can shut down Thurston and dominate in the forwards, we should be home. Those are pretty big "ifs", but.

Come on The Blues!
