A new December journal in which I am attempting to be more creative and positive. It's pink, so that helps!

All my new friends in my special interest Social Group. We are rocking it!

Finished all my Christmas shopping. How the heck did that happen?

Knitting projects. Yay! Knitting is a very calming holistic therapy, right, other knitters?

My new robe and slippers. Soooooooooo warm and toasty, and now I can keep the thermostat turned down, save money, drink hot chocolate and stay warm in my new toasty-wear.

1. The warm shelter and food that I have year round but especially during this ice storm that we are currently having.
2) My husband who knowing that I got up at 4 set his alarm for 6am to make me coffee as a kind gesture and surprise.
3) The fact that we have no where to go today and can stay off the roads. The same can't be said for tomorrow so hopefully the storm will have passed by then.
4) The warm heated blanket that I have wrapped around me as I type this.
5) My writer's block seems to have lifted and I hope to get some decent writing time in today.

Glad I'm trying this a week after Thanksgiving, which was a truly horrible day, so..

1. My husband who somehow managed to survive his highly dysfunctional, emotionally abusive family with character, integrity, intelligence, and gentleness. He cared for me after my surgery the day before Thanksgiving, so selflessly and even made a small Turkey dinner Friday when my tummy could take it.

2. My recovery is moving along. I walked down the stairs with only minor pain this morning compared to the past 6 months of mornings

3. I have a family who loves me and the technology to let us communicate, though we are scattered far from each other.

4. My dogs who make me smile and laugh even when it hurts to.

5. That despite the pain the PD loved ones in my life have caused me, I finally see them for what they are. No more rose-colored glasses. Understanding is the first step to forgiving for me.
Thanks for this!

I've another five:
1) Looking through old photographs has made me thankful that my parents did the best they could. They weren't great parents, but they weren't malicious either. They didn't deliberately make me feel as though I were a nuisance and that I was a horrible person, they simply didn't know how to deal with my personality type.
2) I finally thought of the character design for the protagonist of the new storybook I mentioned in my previous post. I also drew the Warbly Forest and one of the mermaids.
3) I've found a way to use towels without touching them with my hands. I despise the feel of towels, rags, and the like, upon my hands and fingertips. I find grabbing them with my knuckles and wiping counters, for example, with my elbows minimizes the awful feeling which I cannot assign a word to. Bllllrrrggghhhhhaaaaaaagggg is the closest I can think of. Drying myself off after a shower has just become a lot more bearable.
4) I found a lovely pair of boots. They are sturdy, and so should last quite a long while. I don't like shoe-shopping very much, but it had to be done as my only pair were falling apart and I couldn't sew them back together anymore. It was nice to actually find something I like.
5) I don't have a headache. I've been getting them quite frequently as of late, and so am thankful for every day I don't have to take an ibuprofen.

1. I feel fortunate having a job in my field. It's not an every day, full-time thing yet but the same can't be said for many people I went to school with.

2. Spare income. Though there was a time I was literally working from paycheck to paycheck, I'm now working more gigs than usual and therefore able to save a bit for myself and spend more of it on Christmas gifts for family.

3. Even better, my job situation is looking up. Interviews went really well and it seems I have the job, but the process is going slow. It will be a much better situation for me when it happens, so we'll see. On the other hand, it's the motivation I need to get my emotional/mental health in check.

4. Despite only joining a few days ago, I've found some friends on here if I need someone to chat with. It's a great atmosphere here imo, so I shouldn't complain that I don't have an outlet when my real-life friends ignore or don't answer.

5. Everyone in my immediate family is in good physical health and spirits (for the most part) leading into the holiday season. Something I take for granted, but I can't really ask for anything more.

1. Really waking up at 515am without desire to hit snooze.

2. Nino's random hug tonight.

3. Bonding with the woman sitting next to me tonight, as we're seasoned iep moms. Plus, I really enjoyed her being candid with opinion amongst ourselves, in both languages..

4. Muchacho finding peace with his new jersey that his dad funded. Had tag teamed stores price comparison, yesterday. Son wanted to go down one size, for his upcoming field trip to the stadium and place(hall of fame).

5. Papito finding comfort traversing to and from a crowded room as he resolves his attachment. Plus the camaraderie of being amongst other parents.

I'll give #6. Work went well with the intensity of new menu item and by virtue of an order snafu at one school, I gained my meal benefit and tried it ..

1. Friend upset me but now I am getting over it that means less than one-day turn-around time from bad mood to good mood.
2. My new lipstick.
3. Don't know what happened in my town but some authority upleveled the Christmas lights to an insane level. In the park every single tree is lit up. It's outrageous, really, but I love it.
4. Didn't procrastinate renewing my health insurance and did it online. Easy peasy.
5. Having a smoking dream didn't give me the desire to smoke.
And a few more:
Milk baths.
Perfume. *specifically, Vanilla Orchid
Goal maps.
Pinterest.
New job prospects
Less fear about moving
My Christmas Goth window in my bedroom
Yoga
Mocha Peppermint espresso
green smoothies
more lipstick coming in the mail

1. Monthly pay came in after being suspended for almost a week.

2. Loan company not only stopped harassing us but forgave our total debt due to their own misbehavior.

3. My ex and I are getting along a lot better

4. My ex and I were both able to get nice winter coats

5. We had a bit of fun these past couple of days which is something we have not been able to do in a long time
