So this has been bugging me a lot lately. I know how to quote another's post on here but what if I just want to quote a certain sentence only? I use the tapatalk app on my phone if that helps.

My phone turned "question" into "gyration". I'm sorry I'm flaking bad today. I blame the meds.

You can highlight what you don't want within the brackets and delete it

That works for me too but I usually just alter the size or bold the part I want to reply to. My email client has a software feature that will allow me to highlight text and only that text will be quoted in my reply. That would be handy here.
Oh and RxQueen875, hope you don't mind but I got a little giggle out of the title

And I was so curious about the how to gyration.

I don't have any better advice than what others have shared here, I do the same, quote the whole thing and then remove manually what sections of text don't need to be included. Never found a better method. It does end up being a bit of a gyration sometimes.
