I have Windows 7 on both my home computers. One is less than a year old, which I bought specifically because it came with Windows 7. The other, the one I use daily, has always had 7. I keep getting messages that I should switch to Windows 10. I like my Windows 7. Anyone here use 10, I'd like your opinions, feedback.
Thanks

I think so far it works ok, I upgraded about 2 months ago, there was an issue with the edge browser being able to log in to my work remotely but that was resolved. The ICONs are set up a bit differently and things have been arranged in a way to be more accommodating to users of touch screen devices like tablets.

In general I think my PC runs smoother since the upgrade. MS is not going to support 7 forever and at some point they will withdraw the offer for the Free 10 upgrade, and you will have to pay to get the next OS. You may want to take those things into consideration.
Thanks for this!

I just decided to upgrade to 10 since I was tired of being spammed with the thing. It's okay, I find for me to really like it I have to download classic shell.

Classic Shell - Start menu and other Windows enhancements

Replaces the new start menu with one that is more like windows 7. I hated the new start menu that came with 10. Also hiding the search box (cortana) on the taskbar made it just feel like a more sleek windows 7 for me.

I've had it since shortly after it became available. It was a bit of a challenge for me to download. It took about 3 or 4 hours, as I recall. And there were a couple of points where it stopped downloading & didn't provide me with any directions in terms of what to do next. I just had to figure it out for myself. Each time I just stumbled onto the correct next step.

In general, I'm pleased with it. I don't care for Microsoft Edge. Most of the stuff that's on it is of no interest to me. Cortana is sort-of cute I guess. But I really don't have any particular use for it myself. And beyond that, the internet is still the internet. I can't do anything with Windows 10 I couldn't do with Windows 7.

Still... Windows 10 is the new thing. And there are new security features. Plus, there's more coming. Eventually, Windows 7 will be fazed out entirely. So, all things considered, I'm glad I have it!
