I don't know much about him. I just know him as the Harry Potter character, Snape. In his honor, my daughters are watching HP movies. RIP

He was a great actor even before his Harry Potter fame. He was a very flexible actor playing the villain in Die Hard to Metatron the voice of god in Dogma to all the other stuff he has been in. Look up some of his other movies.
Thanks for this!

I dont get people who make rip posts and not even know who the person who died is....seriously? Why?

Back to the topic...i have fond memories of playing games with my little brother and pretend snape was after us....there was a kids skating videogame and we would pretend we were trying to beat snape. Alan Rickman was one of my favorite actors and i had so much respect for him and the way he acted was phenomanal with every role he played....i will never ever forget him and it makes me so upset that hes gone...but he will live on in all his movies. I will truly miss him.
Thanks for this!

I wish I could say it was strange...but really it's not. Cancer affects everyone these days, every funeral I have ever been to is due to cancer. i so wish they could stop this dreadful disease.

I simply adored Alan Rickman...he will be sadly missed.

Not many movies where he doesn't play the consummate baddie...but the movie Truly Maddly Deeply shows a softer side to him...a fabulous talent, and what a voice.

I loved him in Sense and Sensibility and Truly Madly Deeply. I used to have a library of all his movies, but that went away when I could no longer watch movies.

RIP, you will be missed Alan.

I've never read a Harry Potter book nor seen any of the movies. I thought he was great in Dogma and impressive in his early years on the BBC Smiley's People series.
Thanks for this!
