I have to do work. And read and study. But somehow I get hooked up watching old Friends episodes and I cannot stop. I lose all motivation.
How can I stop watching and just focus on doing things at same time ? Is it dopamine deficiency ? |

Hi Infray, i have the same trouble. When i see a laptop i get so glued and into it i lose all track of time and nothing gets down. Turn off the electronics for a full week, write a list then get those things done on that list. You will reconnect and be grounded to your surroundings again. We all have to withdrawl electronically from time to time. I hope this helps. tc

Infray.......I find myself doing the same thing.....I live alone on a farm & I have a huge house that is a disaster & I need to focus on getting the things done, but, when I sit down with my smart phone & browse my friends on FB, or get onto the Ipad I inherited & start playing the games or get onto here or my email account, I can loose a whole day (or more if I don't get started doing something the next day & pick up the ipad first).
It's difficult to do in the first place.....there are lots of things in life that are difficult to do & sometimes we just have to FORCE ourselves to do them because there is no other way. Human nature always takes the EASY WAY OUT.....& that is what we have to fight when we find that it seems to be winning. We have responsibilities & we do need to take them seriously. That doesn't mean that we can't give ourselves a day off once in awhile or an evening off to enjoy what we really want to do.....but we need to be responsible in doing the things that need done in our life & many times that takes ourselves FORCING ourselves to do them & that's just how life seems to be.
