Anyone ever done phone banking for a candidate for public office?

This is a year of firsts for me. I strongly support Sanders' stand on the issues and I changed my affiliation from republican to democrat so I could vote for Sanders in the primary.

Also this is the first time I have ever contributed money to a candidate's campaign.

Now I think I will do phone banking for Sanders. Initially I was hesitant to do so because I thought the people I called would see my home phone number on their caller ID but after looking at the site it seems you call phone bank "headquarters" and they have an autodialer that connects you after someone answers their phone. Is that as you understand phone banking? Any bad/good or funny experiences to share?

I've only done mailers as a young girl when my father decided to volunteer for a governor candidate.

Being actively involved is commendable. That's neat that it doesn't attach to your personal number.

um, what is phone banking?

I am from Vermont and Bernies office is Kosher... safe and is okay... tc

I used to do door to door canvassing for local elections. It was rather interesting seeing some people getting rather aggressive. Most were nice though. I am too busy now so I distanced myself from it.
