The hour(s) just flew by, you didn't realise because you were focused, completely absorbed in what you were doing.

Today I went swimming and the hour flew right by. I was surprised.

Whenever this happens to you, you should feel satisfied! You have just meditated. You became one with what you were doing, you put your heart and soul into the activity and enjoyed every second of it. You stayed in the here and now, relaxed and just went with the flow. Remember, flowing is not following. Be like a river that streams strongly, yet graciously. Enjoy every second, savor every flavor.

What did you do lately that you enjoyed and made time fly right by your nose, that which left you satisfied?

Sometimes it is like that at work! I guess I'm lucky.

That has happened before when I was painting or drawing. Pretty amazing feeling, isn't it?
Thanks for this!

I am farm sitting a friends farm & besides caring for their animals, they have a beautiful baby grand piano. Our horse group is doing a talent show for our next get together. I am playing this piece....Mendleshonn's Scherzo Op 16 #2. Hadn't performed it for 43 years. I can sit & play after finishing the work & all of a sudden it's hours later....lol time for evening feeding.

Serzen,

I used to get that feeling when photographing birds, especially at a local Wildlife Sanctuary cliffs. I have lost the ability now with my double vision.

I am so pleased your swimming is going so well.

Dave.

If that happens at work then you're doing something that you like, which is awesome. I hope one day that happens to me at work too.

I don't play an instrument (just some chords on the guitar) but getting immersed in doing so is a great way of meditating. It is very entertaining to watch a good musician meditate with his/her instrument.

Last year I went to a bird watching event here in Buenos Aires. It was my first time so I didn't have any experience. I didn't take photographs but it was a great day, so I might do it again soon.

Thank you all for your opinions!

Fishing is like that for me. I can fish all day and it seems to go by
in the blink of an eye. Walking on the beach and snorkeling also
have the same effect.

I've never fished, I don't like the idea of the fish getting hurt.
Anyway, it seems like a great activity for meditation and relaxing.

I like walking on the beach too (when I have the opportunity to travel) and I have snorkeled once when I went to Mexico. It was a great experience.

I've been reading Ronda Rouseys book, couldn't put it down all day, nearly finished already and I bought it this afternoon, it's late already.

Hi Serzen. Good thread. I do not think I can get that involved with anything. I do not concentrate well.
