The discussion blue_bird started about septum piercings restirred my desire for 2 piercings that I've wanted for a long time but then forgot I wanted (yeah, that doesn't even make sense to me, so I can imagine what you're thinking lol)

What I'm wanting is called cyber bites, which consists of piercing inside the ridge above the upper lip (this is referred to as a medusa piercing) and also piercing the area below the lower lip called the labret. I had my labret pierced several years ago. The experience wasn't bad. I had bleeding and swelling for a short time and healing was speedy. I'm not hesitant to have it re-pierced. However, I'm curious about medusa piercings. Does anyone here have one? Do you have a labret piercing as well or have you had one in the past? If so, how do they compare in terms of pain and healing?

And while we're on the subject, I'd also love to hear from anyone who has the dimple piercings (the actual piercing through the cheek, not microdermals. Those things scare me shitless.) I've talked with several piercists and other people in the industry and a good deal of them refuse to do the dimples because of the risks involved. Anyone have any positive feedback? Know anyone (professional, of course) who is willing to do dimples?

DON'T. DO. DIMPLES! They are hideous! And the first impression will be "How do you have a job...or a boyfriend?" If you don't look like Frankenstein then they've done it wrong so you look like a bloated puffy chipmunk.

I like the cyber bites better. You are very pretty and you can pull it off.
Thanks for this!

I was thinking of getting hip pierces when I hit my goal weight.
Thanks for this!

I don't know. I know very little about piercings, except that they make me terribly squeamish.

I personally really like the look of dimple piercings! I'm way too chicken to do it myself, but when done right, they look super cool!
Thanks for this!

This looks awesome! But I believe it's microdermals. Those scare me. The thought of someone poking a pocket under my skin makes me nauseous. Having them removed requires cutting them out with a scalpel.

Many moons ago, I was considering having a microdermal placed in my forehead, to give the 3rd eye look, but watching videos of removals on YouTube quickly changed my mind. Cyber bite piercings

I think so, too!
I find it interesting that most people continue to have dimples even after the jewelry is removed.
