Fighting off depression with baby steps. I feel a depressive episode coming on and I'm going to do little things that make me feel better that don't overwhelm me. Cross your fingers for me, please. If I do have a depressive episode, it can take months or longer for it to go away.

Agenda for Sat and Sun. Sat. Visit a woman friend whom been friends with for over 20 years. Delivery from I think a Middle Eastern restaurant. Sun going to a local art show with a different woman friend. July 20th seeing my Princeton* boyfriend. That's Princeton NJ not the University. He writes , edits and publishes a community paper.

Relaxing and trying to get some sleep this weekend...

Going for a walk, house work them relax for the rest of the night.

The agenda for tomorrow is potentially getting a massage and potentially going for an art walk bike ride tour. Much needed rest after a brutal week.

Right now? I have insomnia and I'm going to do a quiet activity and see if I'm going to be able to fall back asleep. I fell asleep and woke up two hours later (thanks, bipolar). If not, hopefully I can take a nap tomorrow.

Also, I have a cold so I need to get to the pharmacy. Advil Cold & Sinus is my savings grace. I buy it in generic and it works just fine. I have a twenty lb cat plopped on my lap. Apparently he isn't worried about catching a cold.

If I'm feeling better and rested, I will spend time with family, do housework and practice self-care. I'm trying to stave off a depressive episode.

Well, I've got to find something to do to while away the time until a big reception tonight

Have to go to work later.

Have to start my student reports for my Year 11 class ... due this Thursday - haven't started. Yikes.

I'm doing some housework. Waiting to see if my friend texts me to say she's available for a chat.

Getting out of a grumpy mood.

To check once again for my GST cheque in the mail. I don't trust my carrier. The looming strike has yet to be called yet it seems my postal carrier hasn't been by for over a week. His own work-to-rule campaign? This happend all of May too.

Gonna call my best friend then read a little. I have been on the forum all day and I think I need a rest from it.

Well today will be a major walking day - I hope I'm up to it. I want to head downtown and take in the food festival on the riverbank. I've a date for dinner with my dad and stepmom. And it's downtown again for a meeting in the evening. Whew!

Finish up work at 9 a.m.then heading by train to visit my parents in NJ.

Dropped the boys off to their various camps. Took a walk after dropping my youngest off, restocked my pokemon inventory and grabbed a coffee. Laundry. Depending on a possible thunderstorm, pool or no pool is on the agenda.

Today I had a meeting with my boss at the Befriending service I volunteer at. I have a new Befriendee woohoo! Then I came home. Just thinking about going to my parents house for dinner :-)

Well tonight, watch a few tv shows and post on PC. Drink lots and lots of water and try and stay cool!

nothing today except forcing myself to do some reading. I'm trying to avoid the television and News. I suppose if I manage a shower it will be an eventful day.
