Do you primarily eat meats, or fruits/veggies, or both (omnivore)?

I eat a diet of both meat and fruits/veggies. I guess it's how I was raised. My dad grew up on a Midwestern farm and they ate whatever they could raise or grow on it. A "steak and potatoes" type of diet, in other words. I was raised similarly, with produce from said farm, and even some meat (I'll spare the details of how said meat arrived at my house, ready for cooking and eating). So, to this day, I eat the same types of foods.

What about you? Are you Vegan? Vegetarian? Omnivorous? A big meat eater?

I will eat chicken or turkey about once per week, otherwise I do not eat meat.

The exception is game meat. If I am at a restaurant that serves fresh venison, bison, moose, so forth, then I will happily eat it. Has to be fresh, however, and local. The best game meat I have ever had was out in Banff (Alberta, Canada). I have not found many places south of the border to eat game meat but I have only been to major cities.

It isn't really about ethics or morals for me. I simply don't really care for red meat, I don't eat pork or shellfish for religious reasons, never liked fish, but from a relatively young age I was exposed to game meat and found a liking for it.

The Skeezyks would prefer to be vegetarian. But my spouse is a meat eater (chicken & turkey mostly.) It's just not practical for us to be following two different diets.

Omnivore here! There's a reason we have sharp tearing teeth in front and molars for grinding. I primarily eat chicken for health reasons, but I do love a good juicy steak! On the flip side, there are nights all I fix for dinner is a plate of veggies.
Thanks for this!

Usually I like eating vegetables and fish. Occasionally I'll eat beef roast or chicken, but not very often. I don't know why, but sometimes meat just doesn't agree with me.

Preference is plant-based. I don't always stay on it, though.

I love sea food of all types so that is a big part of my diet.
I also love fresh veggies and fruit.
As far as meat goes I mostly eat chicken just because I really like it.
I eat red meat only once in a long while.
I am not a big fan of it, for no other reason than I just don't really have
a taste for it.

I only eat chicken, fish and mince turkey. Trying to cut out the chicken, but it's hard. I stopped eating red meat and pork 19 years now.

I eat mostly veggies but I'm not a vegetarian. I didn't find a good option to choose for that.

Yea would have nice having several omnivore options, LOL. Because people can be very different and still eat both veg and meat.

Vegetarian going on for 9 years now. Wow. Sweet. I've always been quite fit but have health issues unrelated to my diet. It's all good but I love animals so I don't want them inside me all the time.

I like both! Having a meal of chicken, fish, beef, or pork with a side of greens or potatoes is amazing!

I don't like meat much to be honest, and have been a vegetarian in the past. However, given my financial situation and the fact that I live in a place that's a borderline food desert (changed when Walmart opened, but Walmart isn't as cheap as it claims with some things), being strictly vegetarian just wasn't healthy for me. The vegetarian options for protein at Walmart are expensive when you're in poverty, and cooking dry beans wasn't realistic (still isn't) for my busy schedule. So, I started eating meat again. This is all not to mention that with my history, restricting anything isn't really healthy for me mentally.

I'm still very... picky about meat, though. Like, I won't eat most pork. I don't eat bacon, pork chops, ham, etc. I only eat pork if the taste is severely hidden (like in pepperonis or some sausages). I don't eat most turkey, only turkey bacon, turkey hot dogs, and turkey sausage (pretty much the processed ones lol). I don't eat most fish, other than tuna. I've tried a few exotic meats, and couldn't stand them, either. For me, it's a texture thing. I just don't like the texture of meat. And I don't like fatty meat because the texture of fat makes me cringe. I can tolerate steaks if there's not much fat on them. Same for chicken. In fact, chicken and beef are the only meats I eat regularly. The rest, I only eat on occasion. I'd probably eat tuna more often, though, if I wasn't worried about the high mercury content.

I much prefer vegetables, legumes, and fruits. I'd be strictly vegetarian if I wasn't worried about cost or relapse. I love my dairy, so could never be vegan. I have a huge list of fruits and vegetables that I love! Pomegranates, bananas, zucchini, spaghetti squash, most squash actually, tomatoes, spinach, apples, pears... the list goes on. I tend to love beans, too. I could never be vegan, though. The mere thought of giving up cheese forever terrifies me.

Omnivor. I rarely eat meat and it is never processed at that.

My food budget just doesn't allow for it. I basically only eat it when I am a dinner guest of others.

I am a 'perimeter' shopper.

I have no idea. I prefer vegetables, love to cook with them (steamed and sautéed are my favorite!) and I rarely cook or even eat meat, but that doesn't make me a vegetarian. I have been thinking of attempting being a vegetarian again though, since I'm well on my way to becoming one. xD

I eat it all, how can you beat a big juicy steak, especially a filet mignon. I could go for one right now though I can't afford it. Lol. Vegetables are good, some I like better than others. My favorite are steamed brussel sprouts with butter and salt or asparagus with butter lemon juice and salt. To. die. for. Can't forget the potatoes. Love carbs especially coming from an Italian household. Fish is delicious too, clams yum. Making me hungry
