Here in WV, we are having mid 90's and very high humidity. I go outside and my glasses steam up!

90s and humid here too (northern WI, where this shouldn't be happening). I don't have a/c at home and it's been broken at work all summer. Whether you think I'm the Wicked Witch or not, I'm still melting. Heat wave!! How is everyone?

I can't imagine functioning without AC in this heat! Then I recall I grew up with no AC at home, at school, in cars!

I just went out to the PO and I'm wilted! A poor girl had locked her car with it running and the police wouldn't come help her! She had a baby with her, thankfully not left in the car! Her boyfriend and a postal worker got it open with a clothes hanger.

Oh that's sad.

It is still winter for me and while not as cold as a month back, I am still wrapped up nice and warm!

Hope you guys get some relief from the heat soon!

Friends,

We are in the triple digits today. This kind of weather makes winter look good. Heat wave!! How is everyone?

Thankfully, I don't have to work outside.

Here in AR it is hot hot hot. The air in my car hasn't worked since I got the car and I about melt after getting out of it. I am here at my parents house and I turned their air down so I could get cool. When I got here my mom took a paper towel wet it and put some ice in it and put it on my neck. That felt really good. I lay at home with my ceiling fan on and the oscillating fan on and still don't cool down. I did get cold last night and threw the blanket over me. Man I got spoiled in July when it wasn't too bad out and then August gets here and BAM!! Heat wave. There have already been 2 deaths due the heat here.

I have not done well in the past in such heat, though we are having record high temps right now, unseen for many years. Interestingly, I discovered quite by chance here on PC that my antidepressant medication can contribute to heat intolerance, and that was one of my primary reasons for starting to wean off it. I'm still just breaking the 40 mg. Paxil tabs in half for over three months now, but I swear that I am better in the heat on this lesser dose! For several years I did the art/craft fairs and finally gave it up because the heat made me so ill (all the while on SSRI med.)

It's extremely hot here in Utah to! We have been getting 3 digit temperatures in the daytime as well. So I have to stay inside, the heat makes me ill as well. I have to cover my windows with emergency thermal blankets(the ones that look like foil)to reflect the heat off the windows, so it doesn't heat up the glass, and bring more heat into the apartment! Add the Air Conditioner to that, and the Oscillating fan, and I'm surviving. But I sure miss that ocean breeze in San Diego, and wish I were there! But this heat is just unbelievable! I'm glad it's almost fall, and that Winter is coming. I feel like laying in the snow right now! OH BOY!! Heat wave!! How is everyone?

I am definitely a "winter"

So much easier to put more clothing on than to take it off when it's hot....*giggle*. I've always enjoyed the wintertime. Guess I'm just a northern girl through and through Heat wave!! How is everyone?
