Hi everyone,

I'm just curious, has anyone ever tried Essential Oils? They are oils derived from plants and seeds that can be very beneficial. I'm considering trying them, for not just myself, but for the rest of my family.
I was just wondering if anyone on this forum has tried them, and what were the results?

Thank you

I used one to help with sleep and one to help be more alert. They both helped and I like the smell. I use one called Serenity and one called Citrus Bliss from DoTTera. My daughter uses some to help with her asthma.

I use them everyday. While they can be used for physical healh it is my emotional health I use them for. My favourites are Lavender for anitanxiety/calming/sleep and peppermint for antidepression/energizing.

There are a lot of opinions our there; I will offer up mine...

There is a difference between perfumed scented oils and essential oils. Also try to avoid big name retail shops. Oils are mass marketed for them and while you may find pure ones they tend to be diluted. Instead, there are some very good online companies (I don't think we're allow to plug name brands here) that offer ois that are both pure and therapeutic grade. It is also good to know from where and how oils are derived. The problem with many internet brands is they are MLMs and tend to be a little more expensive. I look for oils at my natural foods and goods shops instead.

PM me for those brand names.
Thanks for this!

Yes, I have used essential oils for various reasons. Lavender is the one I've used most, for headaches.

Are you using it topically or in the air?

I'm thinking they are used with a diffuser to dispense them into the air. There, they can do things like effect your mood, concentration, and whatnot. My mother has a very nice diffuser that changes colors via a band around the middle.

Yes, I use topically for those safe to do so, infuse the air, and even digest those of food grade quality.
