Just wanted to say hello to you all. I came across this site while creating my blog on PTSD. I do this in my spare time as I kind of feel some days it helps me, but today I feel very agitated and anxious.

Thought I would join and chat to others with similar problems as I have.

I was diagnosed with Bopolar, PTSD and anxiety disorder in 2001 after I was nearly beaten to death by a stranger in my home. Came to alberta in 2007 and the doctors up here think there is nothing wrong with me, so I am not getting the medical attention I need. I have used marijuana quite a bit, it is the only thing that relaxes me when I am upset, however I have had to quit this even though it is the only coping mechanism that works for me due to work.

I feel so alone bottled up inside my brain and dead most days. I need a friend or some friends that I am not terrified of and I am hoping you will be my friend, someone I can chat with and of course I will be your friend as well. Lean on me and I can lean on you sometimes. What do you think.

today is just not a great day for me, and I really wish i could just get drunk but it does not help only suppresses the pain

Hi Glendafitz!

I would like to share a really good way to sort of "tap" that building pressure inside you and relieve it some. A way that has worked well for me. What is this amazing way I speak of? It's journaling!! I have a small 5" by 9" leatherette journal I found at a drug store and it has been a wonderful source of both pressure relief, and of reminiscing about the good times in my past.

I try and stay as positive as I can when writing, and don't often try to write in it when I'm in a gloomy and ruminating mood. It only serves to deepen the depression within in a vicious downward cycle. So for me, journaling isn't a daily activity.

If you'd like, I have a Social Group on this site that, while not very active at the moment, might be of help to you in learning how to journal more effectively. The link to it is in my signature. I hope it becomes more active in the future, and look forward to having made a better journaling experience for as many as possible.

Anyways, I hope you find what you're looking for on this site, and best of luck to you!!

Welcome to joining and being one of us . PC can be very supportive. I too am diagnosed PTSD. I was diagnosed with BP. ADD and OCD too. I think the last two because of my Tourettes. Then again mood disorders can be part of Tourettes too. I wish you well.
