so,
someone suggested to me that a good way to drown out the fireworks was to use noise canceling headphones. I'm for this- I think it's a great Idea my question: which ones are good to get? I actually don't know the first thing about headphones, so, relying on you guys! thanks! |

Hmm... I wonder if noise cancelling headphone would work for fireworks? I *thought* (but I could be wrong) that they were better for continuous noises... like the jets on an airplane, rather than things that happened suddenly. I could be wrong.
Have you looked at Amazon? Maybe check out the reviews? I had a pair once, but I returned them. They didn't seem to do much for me. I use earplugs around the house instead - most often when the landscapers are outside my windows with leaf blowers, which are really loud. The ear plugs aren't perfect, you can still hear the noise, but they definitely reduce it to a tolerable level for me. Good luck! I hope you find something that works! |

I agree with the last post. Noise cancelling headphones are good for travelling but not fireworks. The best earplugs to get are those bikers use, and you can get them custom made to fit your own ears. Expensive but you'll never need another. Try this place ultimate ear | Ear Plugs | Hearing and Ear Protection London UK. You can also get ones to put on top of normal earbuds to give extra protection. Good luck!
