In the spirit of Jan's funny bumper sticker thread, I saw a license plate today at a dental clinic:

IFLOSU

funny license plate

My all-time favorite plate was on a white VW Rabbit: "HARVEY"

I also liked "OWLBCNU"

And once, in my younger and considerably more naive days (like, shortly after I got my license), I followed a car for blocks until I figured out what "HEYMOFO" meant funny license plate (apparently the state worker who approved it didn't get it either!)

I always wanted one that says "POETIC," but nobody ever gets it and it ruins the fun if you have to explain.

I get a kick out of license plates too...I have seen some I just couldn't figure out though and some that are really clever.
I ahve a habit of looking at the lisence plates and making imaginary names from the letters on them. Like if the letters are GSL I make up the name george sam lincoln...must be a carry over from liking to name my dolls when I was little.

I do that too. One of my friends has the letters NSP so I think of it as No Smoking Please. I do that with a lot of plates, and sometimes it comes out really funny.

i use the letters on the plate to make the biggest word i can think off using all of the combined letters when stuck in traffic, the word must start with the first letter on the plate, the other letters can be in any order has long has they are included in the word being generated.
