Laptop went pop! Yep! I was reading a document on the net and then it went Pop!.............and switched itself off. Now it won't work at all! I was given it as a Christmas present so it's not very old and I have cared for it, it's my pride and joy. I guess I'll have to take it back to the shop, it has a year waranty but I'm slightly pissed off about it because I take it to bed with me. Hope I can get it fixed real quick.

I'm sitting at the old computer at the moment and it gives me cronic backache. I'll have to take my laptop to the comet store but I think they will have to send it away to be repaired and then I'll have to wait ages for it.............Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Sorry to hear about you laptop....what a horrible thing to have happen.

Thanks keb, I don't understand why it has packed up when it's only 7 months old. Thank goodness it does have a waranty but I Neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed it!

I only have a desktop but I'm on it a lot of the time. I know a laptop would be indespensable.

The thing is with the laptop is you can take it to bed with you and get really comfortable. Or in the day time go outside with it and sit in the sun in a nice comfy chair. But I am thankful I still have access to the internet.

Oh, I know what you mean, but I set a time limit of when I must switch it off, then I can wind down and go to sleep. It's kind of like reading a book before going to sleep, for me anyways. Hubby bought it for me because he knows it relaxes me, either that or he knows it shuts me up!

Let us know what it was. Mine's been turning itself off and doing the repetative reboot thing. I'm afraid to turn it off because it seems to behave better turned on all the time. Of course warrenty ran out last month.
 I may also have to take it in and see if it's software or the fan. At least it's working right now - otherwise I'd have to go to the library.
