My name came up because we were living in a 400 square ft apartment and we are a couple of Hobbits. We really don't go out much.

Before that I was a truck driver. If you think 400 ft isn't much try one of those sleepers. 400 sq ft seemed like luxury! We were there 2 years. Merry Christmas

I sought a random name so no one would know who I am in real life. It's from this song: www.breadfish.co.uk

It's a guided by voices song

I haven't misspelled echoes, it's how it's spelt in the song.

"Démunie" in french means something like "being without..." (mostly money, but for me it was more: being without protection/help/interests)

When I chose my name I wrote the first thing that came into my head, I have no idea why this name came into my head. If I were to let Freud in when he came knocking on my door, he would no doubt tell me there was some uncounscious reason for me choosing it.

I'm was raised in Detroit & my initials are M.M. (just like Eminem)...So that's where the "em" comes from. Green is my favorite color, the color of my eyes, & also the color of the sports teams where I went to college.

Kind of obvious, but... Scooby Doo's pronunciation of Uh Oh, often used to understate impending catastrophe. Also known as the theme of my life.

ATAT...thank you! Can't remember the last time I enjoyed a piece of music as much as I'm enjoying this.

I wanted to choose something anonymous, and felt pretty darn Lost when I first came here. It's been a running theme.

I did not figure that out at all, and for a long time failed to notice that it wasn't "roh roh"

A fascination with the phenomenon of synesthesia (crossing over of the senses and perception types), and I like to use screen names that sound like female characters from fantasy novels.

Myrto is the name of a sea in Greece and considering I'm obsessed with Ancient Greece history, it was easy to pick that name.

Ooh, I got one part right (the first part), but I thought the Xy was you choosing the Greek spelling.

Well it actually was. Many of those fantasy names use Greek a lot. My surname is also Greek in origin, but that's enough info now

A million years ago when the internet was first a thing, I used to play backgammon online with a friend. She had just been on a canoe trip and her screen name was tippycanoe. I was going to go on a canoe trip soon, so I put my initials (kec) in front of canoe. and it stuck.

Well, I started to like alpacas, I used alpaca as a name on one forum, but then I added the "licious" part because it sounded nice.
