Ive noticed many businesses do not say goodbye on the phone, they just hang up when they answer my question. I think it is rude and unprofessional. What do you think?
Thanks for this!

I always say at least bye, rarely goodbye. But I do not talk on the phone much at all anymore because of my speech and stuttering after what my doctor said was a mini stroke.

I certainly do say some form of goodbye. If I were a business, I'd be thanking you for your time in addition to doing so.

(chuckle) I am Canadian and - it's true - I actually thank businesses for calling me before saying goodbye to them.
Thanks for this!

Yes, always..sometimes saying 'see ya' or 'later' depending on whom I'm speaking to.
It's just good manners to do so I believe.

Yes, always. I think it's extremely rude not to.

Honestly I miss actual phones that if you are pissed you can slam down the handset not as spectacular with a cell lol

I do say a goodbye in some form or fashion.

I'm a receptionists and I think being polite is key! I don't usually say goodbye but I say "have a great day!" or "talk to you later." or "take care". And I probably say it with too much of a peppy voice but I'd rather sound too friendly than too grumpy

I would find that kinda rude too. I always say goodbye, and thank you, etc.

It's rare for me to talk to a business on the phone.
Everything seems online. Like making reservations, shuttle ect.

I think it's rude too! I try to remind myself they're probably busy. But I sometimes feel hurt by it anyway! I always say goodbye.
