Hi Friends,

I'm roasting a chicken in the oven with potatoes and carrots.

I found a new kind of bundt cake in the bakery at the grocery store yesterday -- it's a lemon and 7-Up cake. It's pretty yummy. I topped mine with a little whipped cream and raspberries. Yumo!

My husband just pulled his Mr. Clean act, and cleaned the whole downstairs.

I didn't sleep well last night so pretty much slept this afternoon away. Have gotten up in time for steak on the barbecue grill in an hour or so though :-)

My Best Kids,

Are Balmer crabs a soft-shell crab? They sound good!

The Law and Order shows are so good. I haven't seen The Closer.

Mary Alice,

It's hard to beat a roast chicken. Good for leftovers.

Do you like your job?

EJ, everyone likes when I make chicken......lol. Yes, for the most part I like my job. I'm the store manager for a local Dairy Queen. I've had some employee issues, but at least I'm finally getting two days off a week instead of only one! Hope your day was good.

Mary Alice,

Good for you -- a manager!

Employee issues can be a pain. I'm glad you'll have a few days to rest up.

I love the vanilla cones, dipped in chocolate!

I cleaned my house...took a nap! Helped my 4 pets adjust to the absense of Henry...they're all still looking around for her! The house is quiet without her goofiness.

Not really..its actually really ugly lol. Its an old farm house. But the beauty shows thru in the living and dining rooms. There is a wood divider with cabinets on either side. Very neat. Craftsman style. I got one set of cabinets in the kitchen that look neat.. but the long side have like oak framing.. but then the doors are light maple. Needs a remodel.. and lime green floors ewwwwwwww. I wish so bad I could work so we could afford to remodel it. That and get a shower in this house!! Sorry for going off topic. Just wanted to explain. Its got its good and bad aspects. Ahh well... lol
