This was devoted to the "Flatwoods Monster," aka the "Braxton County Monster" about which I've heard since I was a little girl here in WV. The evidence that it actually occurred is pretty convincing.
Still, I told my friends during the intermission that I'd heard enough. It really was interesting to see the other types of people who showed up for this...a lot of fat men with ponytails and beards and fat guts, and women who looked like me! Back from the UFO conference...

Welcome to Destination America: Middle Age. Back from the UFO conference...

(You have just described a large number of men in my area, and I'm nowhere near WV, so I'm assuming it's just the same everywhere! Back from the UFO conference...)

They were The Lone Gunmen they were. Langley, Frohike and Byers. Frohike always had a crush on Scully. He was the one with the big glasses. Langley had the long blond hair and he was at the convention too. Byers looked somewhat like Mulder in the suit and tie, and in the movie, Mulder said "strip Byers naked." because he needed his clothes to get out of the hospital after being grazed in the head by the fake ambulance driver who abducted Scully.

Yes, I am and X-Files fanatic. Back from the UFO conference...

Back from the UFO conference... The Lone Gunmen!! Of course! Back from the UFO conference... It must have been the blonde one that wore his hair in a pony tail! Back from the UFO conference... I really liked those guys!! The old one was balding, right, and wore glasses, too.

Dana's baby DID bear a strange resemblence to Skinner, like Muldar said. Back from the UFO conference... Back from the UFO conference... I even noticed it before Muldar said it. Sure cracked me up! Back from the UFO conference...

Now I wish I had been a fanatic when it was on. Back from the UFO conference...

I can't believe they had a seminar about the Braxton County Monster! Good grief, why can't they just let it die and forget about it. You probably saw my cousin there.... Back from the UFO conference...

LOL, Jan! It's actually pretty interesting. It was not a living being at all...but some sort of mechanical device, as if in a protective metallic alien suit! I have to admit that I was impressed with the extensive research the author had done, as well as the documentary film containing interviews with the people who witnessed it in 1952 Flatwoods.
I say to the aliens..."Come and get me!"
